Not only did he lie about the release date, which nobody ever actually believed, but this time we didn't even get a bullshit excuse to laugh at smh

Dude, nobody gives a shit about timeframes or release dates anymore about this game. If an update comes at some point: well, I'll probably still play it (but only for free). If not and it's abandoned at some point: so be it. But your multiple whining and that of the guy above (you actually could be twins...) is, sorry to say that, childish at best.

If nobody cared about release dates, CB wouldn't constantly post release dates to get more patreon money. He has quite literally said that he does it to get money lmao

IMHO, 4-5 years is normal amount of time to complete a game and make a claim the project has been successfully brought to completion.
Then it seems we are in agreement. Though of course The Fellowship of the Ring took seventeen years and Starcraft 2 took 12. Whereas ever-shittier Civilizations keep appearing on a schedule in line to our mutual sense of normality, and no one's the better for it.

Great game, I'm sad the project didn't move forward =/ ,I'm not complaining, the game takes a lot of work to make, people should understand that, unless you spent a lot of money donating to the game's creator, it's still better to be patient.

Unlike your multiple defending of a scammer dev? You might not care but plenty do. I'm not whining btw; I couldn't give a shit whether this VN gets finished or not, but I do care when people lie to milk supporters.

Last time I played this it ended with the ginger falling asleep with her head in MCs lap. Did the story advance from there or is this still it?

Jul 15, 2019, almost SIX YEARS and the game is neither finished nor abandoned, and it has so little renders for all this time... :KEK::KEK::KEK:

I want to say more, but I don't want to be rude. :KEK:

As someone who has followed this AVN from the beginning, someone who supported the Dev on Patreon for a while, and someone who was glad the Dev placed in the top 3 of an F95 Xmas poll, I can confidently state this AVN effectively died in mid-2020. It may seem "alive," but it's clearly been on life support for the last 4.5 years. ... and that's a shame because the Unleashed remains quirky and fun.

If that's to be believed, he also said he used ChatGPT for code...and I've offered my assistance once before in that regard--don't believe everything you read, or you might end up sleeping with your neighbors dog after your next novel :ROFLMAO:

These numbnuts do realize ChatGPT wasn't public till about 3 years ago right?

You severely underestimate the time consuming process of to get renders of such high quality...that's not even my end of things but I am well aware its not a fast process. I'm just the Dev, code is what I do.

Yeah, that's not wrong. My guess is that it has more to do with burnout and/or life circumstances getting in the way, but each creator is different. It is a shit ton of work doing a VN and it's not something you learn in writing classes. You can't just write the story - you have to visualize the presentation. And that's something I still struggle with: when I write a scene I describe the render at the same time, kind of a descriptive storyboarding. But sometimes I can't get the scene to look like what I wanted, or sometimes I actually get a better/different visual that turns the scene in a different direction.

I guess it's more akin to a movie director. But you're picking out the clothing, creating the look of the characters, you're learning daz3d, photoshop, denoising, caesium, handbrake, XnConvert, a movie editor, renpy, etc. That's not to complain, this job is still a blast, but I'd wager most people here have no idea the amount of work that goes into it.
This.

This.
Just because you're also a dev does not mean you need to lick the boots of every other dev. Any dev who blatantly milks their patrons for money while spewing constant lies just lowers peoples' trust in other devs. Not the type of person you should be defending. Awful look for you.

I figured some comment like this was coming along...I'm not here to 'lick any boots', I was in this thread before I had my dev badge...should I change my opinion because my username has a shiny little line underneath it? That would be boot licking, I am not here to defend them or please you...I'm here as a person first and a dev second.

My actions as a dev will speak for themselves, I don't need to go around crowd pleasing and tiptoeing through the tulips for my project to succeed...it will do that on it's own merits.

But as a dev, in multiple languages...and a blunt person. I just couldn't really let that one slide. It's not only embarrassing and shameful, but it's an obvious lie.

If you defend a scammer, it makes it more likely that people will also think you're a scammer. It's a very easy concept to understand.

And If I sit back while people lie to discredit someone, what does that make me? Just a dirtbag...or a coward? It's really a lose lose when you actually have moral's.

I see your point, and the thought had already crossed my mind...unfortunately, I decided to take the high ground for better or for worse. As I said, I'm not defending them...I've added my two cents about the amount of time between updates myself in a previous post here.

It doesn't mean I agree with the underhanded tactics they used to make a point.
