Not going to lie i don't like this first person version of it. prefer the visual novel style inceston has going in all of its games. Also doesn't look nearly as good as the vn. also don't want to have to pay extra to update my rig just to play these games.
Thankfully the RenPy version of the game won't be changing, cos I'm not really a fan of it either, I prefer the look of the original characters in the RenPy version anyway.
I think what they meant is that certain techniques used for high quality 3d renders, i.e. what's being referred to as "2D" in this discussion, are too calculation-intensive to be truly viable in real-time 3d engine. Which isn't really wrong. Pre-baked renders can provide a much higher quality precisely because they can devote long minutes and hours to calculations instead of being limited to a fraction of a second.

Several of these adult games that try the Unreal Engine approach never make it out of being a tech demo.
Name a few.
WildLife. This game has been in development for ever.
Tastes of Seduction, which started off with big promises is far from done.
My Lust Wish, that game is just a mess.
I will probably be in my 100's before an adult game makes it out of rehab.

The game does need a lot of optimization, I was playing it my RTX 2070, I9 9900KF, 32 ram computer. This seems like it would run on RTX 3000 series or higher. I was getting stutters moving around and also during the sex scenes. Yet the character models and the animations did look pretty good.
I would assume this would be almost a 5 year project if there are trying to make it an interactive story, with cutscenes or even voices. So. for now it's a wait and see if the game development takes off. Seen too many of these games fail.
