Can someone explain what the release date means on the front page now? I swear the release date used to mean when the game was originally posted on F95? I've noticed a few times now, on various games, folks being confused in reviews and elsewhere thinking some games are new when they've been around on here for years.

"Release date" is when the current update is first released (usually on patreon), "Thread Updated" is when the update makes it here on f95. At the very top of the thread, underneath the name there is the date the game was originally posted on F95 (in this case June 3, 2017):

.... Everyone's clearly related.
Hm. Yes. Could be, "Watson".
These 5 wine glasses look very similar. Must be from the same maker.

@ Everyone interested in alternate OS versions of the game besides Windows:
1. DL the last game version in another OS version (Win ...)
2. Download the "runtime environment (RE)" fitting for your operating system: (Lx, mac, ...) (Don't choose a higher version as 8.x; its incompatible)
3. Unpack both archives and copy the file ".../resources/app.asar" from the game dir in the identical named dir in the Electron directory.
4. Start the game through the file named "electron" in the RE folder.
Enjoy.

Cheers thanks for the reply. Yeah that's what I figured. I knew about the other date but I don't know why I thought it used to be different? Probably just early onset Alzheimer's. Nothing to worry about

Why bother releasing your game for Linux or Mac initially, then fail to update it?
Well, I'm not a dev but supporting other OS other than Windows adds considerable time to testing and debugging.

Even popular games like Rocket League drop Linux and Mac support.

I'm a long time fan of Urban Voyeur since the first release, so far there always were MAC, Linux and Android versions for every update, what happens is that for some reason they didn't appear here on F95 after 0.4.0. But they do exist, I was supporter during 0.6 and saw the links on the patron posts. After a few weeks from the release the dev also updates the free online version that you can play on browser.
