I haven't played this game yet but I've encountered that in plenty of other games. It's usually because the dev uses pause statements, those don't automatically hide the text window. If you are annoyed by it, put a 'window hide' statement in the script where that happens.

You go to locations, talk to girls to get their stats up then events. You also need to work and study to gain access to some events. You just aren't playing it right.
