Im sure it's asked often but is the game intentionally frustrating or am I doing something wrong? you have to have 20 troops to keep the settlements from burning down, but you need to empty each country of troops just to take a new one meaning even if you win the others have mobs that burn something... What am I doing wrong?
This is just one of the reasons I said this game could take up to 100 hours to play.

First you must build up to at least 20 troops and build all buildings then there is options you can use to help each state.
Keep 20 in each state until you need to attack the next one, that is once you got the stated looking good then do the mission for the next state and so on.

I leave 30 troops in the state I just took and moving 20 back to each of the states after taking one.
This helps make the state happy before you move on to the next one.

About pregnancy length.

Is the reason the gestation period is super fast because that is simply how it is programmed, or is it explained in game?

edit: OH each turn is a week, not days

How long do you want it to be?

I assume what you missed is that a turn is a week not a day. Which means about 5 months (20 weeks) from impregnation to showing. Another almost five months (20 weeks) of showing to birth. Followed by almost two months/8 weeks of recovery.

That makes a lot of sense. Don't mind me, not played in over a year.
Although perhaps the "0GUI/map/top.png" can betweeked to not be just a week counter, but a Year: Week: counter instead

I'll simply add text "week" to above the counter, in the map.rpy to help myself :D

Is it smart to use arrays for so many variables/codex? (i think they are called arrays, ie: define x = {this, that, other, etc.})
...which if I remember in past ren'py games, makes it extremely tedius to alter, add, edit, etc. for future game updates.

It looks like a nightmare to add more characters to the codex, as you have to constantly redefine many exsisting variables/arrays.

:unsure: Who says you are getting more?

But, no it's trivial (besides the writing & art) to add an additional notable/god/etc. You would be doing it very wrong if you need to "constantly redefine many exsisting variables/arrays".

Does the Lilan act 2 scene lock if I don't sex her for her charm at the begining of the game?
Or do we have to sex her, cause her act 2 scene ... if i recall correctly... is about your child with her?

Bug: Started new game:
Finished intro with accepging gold (no sex, aka Dorla & Odi) Bastards = 0
Finished 1st fiefdom Oryeonguk with no sex (freed Eviette, Lilan gave charm, spared Wench after attack) Bastards = 0
Finished 2st infiltration in fiefdom Marbia with only 2 sex (sexed Alma, sexed Domia, spared Fahda) Bastards = 2

^I take it both bastards come from Alma+Domia... however!
Both Alma and Domia stat pages list babies as "0".

I passed 5 turns for 80 turns, checking their pregnancy every 10 turns.
^NEITHER showed pregnant bellies. NEITHER gave birth. Both still have babies as "0"

So seems like 2 pregnancys/babies get lost in the mix/coding? (1 for Alma and 1 for Domia)

EDIT: SUGGESTIONS:
1) Perhaps, if you view Alma's sex scene, the map screen directly after the infiltration should do the wench "pregnant" notification and set Alma to pregnant?
{Domia should do this as well, HOWEVER, I don't think Domia currently has any pregnancy related media nor ingame mention of it, and probably not programmed yet}
2) Could program Domia pregnancy, even without actual images for it at the moment. Plus, to not show up in 'attack' fiefdom if she is (I think dev uses 20+weeks) pregnant as well as recovering. Shouldn't be too hard with addition 'if' coding added to her already exsisting 'attack' fiefdom coding.

That count is deliberately inflated. :unsure: Probably wouldn't hurt to finesse it with the two ladies in question though.

There's not anything in particular stopping Alam from getting knocked up during the quest except that she is canonically not pregnant on arriving to the palace.

Domia's not getting a pregnancy without a pregnant scene. A check if she can lead the army or not would be as trivial as you suggest.

The mom's not really a character like in normal games, She's an antagonist who usurped the throne and is on another continent while the whole game the protagonist has been on a different continent from her consolidating power so he can take back the throne. The two haven't spoken face to face since the prologue, we just get little updates here and there to see what she's doing in between the mc's conquests.
