Hi every one, can someone give me an advice, there are a several packs that still didn't work, i even tried using the HEVC extension, but nothing.

Packs like:

Christy Mack
Amy Reid
August Ames
Teanna Trump
Phoenix Marie
Gina Valentine
Alexis Fawxs
Karma Rx
and others


What could be the reason.

Hi Tobe, thanks for sharing but unfortunately the github is broken. I cannot download the repo because of this error:

is a link to an archive of the source code. You just need to unzip it and add a project pointing to this folder in UnityHub and it should work. Tell me if it doesn't.
The transcoding of the videos may take a while, but it should work if you skip it (although if you have the patience, I'd suggest letting Unity do its thing).

Aight, here you go.

Shop Test (17MB)

Drag and drop your girlpack folder into VC_Data and you should hopefully be set. This doesn't come with any girlpacks whatsoever.

I made it as lightweight as possible so you could drop it into your Venus Club folder, move the girlpacks in, play with it, then move them out when you're done. Shortcuts don't seem to work.

Left/Right arrow or mouse clicking the buttons moves left and right across performers, typing auto-searches.

If you do try it, tell me how it is loading and if you have any issues with search inputs if you're on a non-qwerty keyboard.

I like the look of it! I tried it (relatively quickly) and I'd say the only problem I had was a small delay when clicking or using the keys to go to the next/previous girl. It's not much, but I think it could become cumbersome for a large number of girls.
I like the search feature! (although I'd say it could be displayed more clearly, but I'm assuming it is already planned).
No issues for me on a non-qwerty keyboard.
I can't say much about performances in loading packs, as I only used 8 (the "basic" ones). With those eight, it was pretty much instantaneous.

I have read the last post and it is a pity that Tobe leaves the game due to loss of interest and the rest feels good I hope that that leads him to resume the game a bit to finish it or based on what we learned let's see a "venus club 2.0" your new game is even much better

I only have a couple of suggestions / mechanics that I think that doing them should be enough for the game to be terminated

1st finish the secretary's plot and 2nd implement a section or mode for the use of the girls personally by the MC

because basically he is the one who least enjoys them, it would be good if he had a private room in his office where he could train or enjoy the girls themselves (he does not It is necessary to change any scene with which it represents that instead of dancing or fucking a random man, do it with the player character enough) I think that adding these 2 details could be considered "finished" the game

If later it occurs to you to add other mechanical ideas, options etc it would be even better but I think that with allowing the MC to use the girls personally for their enjoyment and close the secretary's plot it would be perfect

I've been working on my own version of this, but haven't posted anything this week since there's not really anything visual worth showing. Admittedly, I've been working on this from scratch as a way to re-teach myself Unity.

Can't say I've ever seen a game launch like that.

Are you emulating windows or is this native?

Okay so thank you very much. I've been modifying the source code for the past week and here's my conclusions.

1. There's nothing wrong with the code, it's great and not bad to work with.
2. Unity freaking suuucckksss. It's slow and ass for games like this. I'm on a mac and compiling and opening the game takes forever. Renpy would've been so much better.
3. Most users are windows and having to compile different versions is total shit, it's quite tiresome.
4. I didn't quite manage to do everything I wanted, and I ended up just cheating / adding tons of money and removing punishments for missing clients. This lets me ignore clients and keep my hands off the keyboard/mouse where I need them and not worry about putting stuff in boxes when I'm trying to enjoy the content. The initial idea was to remove all put girls in boxes "gameplay" (imo really a pointless chore) entirely but I didn't quite figure out how to do that. The cheat as it were is basically enough to do what I want and I'm not really motivated to make the initial vision happen.

Let me know if you guys want to see the cheat version compiled for windows and published or the initial vision happen. I'll try to make a windows build for it if 5 people tell me they want it.

The only thing I could imagine it being is a registry error?

Open regedit and look for the Venus' Club registry. Mine was under 'Computer\HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Tobe\Venus's Club' and see if those values all make sense.

This is more pie in the sky talk but I'd hope like minded developers could come together for a collaborative effort on which direction development should go, instead of people doing their own thing.

Do we continue with Venus Club original, or do we attempt a Venus Club branch towards a different theme than a strip club?

I'm a stubborn guy and don't see myself working well with others on this sort of project. Most of VC's content is community-driven and I like it that way. End of the day, even if this project gets dropped, it could live on as a legacy game eternally as long as new pornstars are added by creators such as yourself.

If I do want to add any fundamental changes, I'll try to do it in a way that will make no difference to how packs are made for Tobe's version of the game.

As for story stuff with the secretary, I'm not very sure about how to approach it. I don't care much for Nicole as a pornstar and wouldn't have the interest in it. Ideally, it'd be community driven as well and allow creators to make secretary packs for their performers.

Hey again everyone, been working on the list for performers that would be used in the setup and lounge screen. I lost a good deal of time last week to work (and GG Strive ).

I've managed to get it into a semi-acceptable state and seems to run fairly well with 600+ girlpacks using a combination of forced-loading the initial visible panels and streaming in the rest.

I'll be spending this week working on the sorting drop-down for the list (and displaying the sorted value) as well as a new search format that'll work for this view.

Shame the dev had to abandoned it, although I do understand, even if a quick wrap up of the Nicole story would have been nice.
Still this game going open source is very nice and a good gesture, many people just bail and that is it, now there is a chance for people to hopefully continue and maybe even use this very solid foundation in their own work. Hopefully giving credit where credit is due.
I don't know much about coding but I imagine that maybe the girl pack system could be used in other games with a completely different theme as well should people want to make their own.
