This game needs less grind, not more. Perhaps reduce the price of the secretary upgrades?

One bug I'm still running into in the current version that I find slightly annoying is where the sound for different videos will randomly be turned on, sometimes for more than 1 video at the same time. You can turn them off manually by cycling the volume on and off but it's still annoying. I generally never want the sound to come on unless I decide to zoom in to 1 particular video to watch it full screen.

I'm trying to make a girl pack. I have .mp4s in every folder for the activities I have enabled for her. Yet, it uses the default videos. Unless it is a 'finish', then it will play one of the videos I added.
Why do the normal videos revert to default but the finishes play as expected?

There are no plans to do that, but I guess I could add a way to disable a booth when you get the modular booth improvement.
I'm aware there are bugs related to the sound during the work phase. I'll have a look at it.
I cjecked your pack and the name of the folder does not match the name of the girl in the JSON file, which is why it doesn't work properly. Make sure those two names are the same.
That made me realize that there should be an error message for that. I'll see about adding one.

1 - with some packs certain video won't play, not matter how many times you try. If in the folder there are 2 or more videos it will keep playing the same one again and again. Could it depend from file naming?
2 - sometimes videos glitch and you end having some other girl's video playing instead. 99% of the times happens the glitched video is replaced with one of Abigail Mac's videos (which should be girl zero, if I recall correctly).

First of all, it's not Tobe creating all the girl packs. Atm 99% of the packs are created by players. lolz!
You can limit every girl pack you download. If they're too big for your taste? Just delete some of the extra vids per folder?

It would help giving Tobe your specs... I for one have NO issues at all.
Btw, big chance your pc has issues with codecs and/or the *.mp4 files. Most packs are created with vids in *.webm VP8 format for that reason. Especially on low end machines, with a lot of girl packs installed, Unity has issues playing *.mp4 files.

I couldn't really find it through search so sorry if it was mentioned before.
I sometimes get this bug where I get stuck in work mode, instead of ending my girls will just vanish from the left overview or their portraits will even jump on top of each other in one booth. I'll then have to quit the game through task manager and my most recent save will be corrupted and it says I have no girlpacks when I open it again, which I clearly do and I can still play with them.
It happens pretty randomly, so I'm not really sure what the trigger is but at first I downloaded the one without girlpacks, where it happened pretty quickly, basically right after first date with Nicole, then I tried to download the version with girlpacks and it happened again but I had finished Nicole up until she can dance topless and had played for quite awhile after.
I'll try to get some pics if it happens again.
Recommendation for some small QoL features.
Scrolling down instead of sideways in the save menu would make it easier to keep track of (due to above mentioned bug I'm basically saving every day)
The mini-game needs some minor adjusments, I don't think it's that hard but it feels kinda random, sometimes I've been trapped from the beggining for example.

I'm finishing my first pack and I kept it really tight. 30 secs per video, 720p, compressed, low bitrate. These are 10mb each.
Considering the girl "does everything" there is a good amount of videos even having 2-3 per folder. That's more than 500mb already, there is nothing I can do to keep it lower.
Let's see what happens after the conversion from MP4 to WebM, but I doubt I'll be below 500mb...

Dunno my PC is everything but lowend. i9 9900k, 64GB RAM, RTX 2080 all on .m2 Nvme SSD. Using 4k LCD.

You are the first one to report that kind of bugs. That would make me believe that there is indeed a problem with your video codecs. I'll look into it further if someone reports the same issues.
No. I won't put a hard limit on pack size. I've asked people to try and make packs that are indeed 500 MB or lower, but after that, they are free to do what they please, regarding video content, file size, or whatever else.
Hi Everyone! Can we please limit our discussions to this thread? There's been so much "offtopic" so to speak in the Girlpacks thread it's starting to get annoying for me personally. I go there to look for new packs and the last 2 pages are barely any just things that could as well have been here. Thank you!
I would prefer not to limit the size. I prefer the larger packs. The video quality is better!

Size does not always mean quality. The videos are framed small and even when you zoom you won't appreciate it's full quality.
I made only 1 pack for now but all the videos are 30 sec length, 720p, 30fps and just 6 Mb each. 69 videos in less than 500 Mb.
Some packs are huge with 1080p not compressed videos. These are good to watch but a bit wasted for the purpose, in my opinion.

Been playing quite a bit of this recently and really enjoyed it, and with the poll was thinking what changes I'd want to see, but then realised I could get what I wanted by tweaking things myself so thought I'd share this with others.
For me I like seeing girls advancing through the stages and building up their stats- but many of the girl packs don't allow this. They're either too expensive and so I can't afford them until late game, by which time I've become attached to the earlier girls and am following them, or they've got 100s across the board and there's nothing I can do to improve them. To allow me access to the girls I want early and to build their skills I've actually written a quick Python script (attached in .zip format, wouldn't allow me to upload the .py itself) to let me control the minimum/maximum limits for girl costs and skills.
It's not that I'm complaining about the pack authors here, I appreciate the effort that went into building the packs, it's just that I personally prefer a different playstyle.
If you want to try this yourself firstly make sure you have backups of the girlpacks, I am a professional programmer and this isn't complex code but I'm not taking responsibility for deleting your girls, breaking your PC, or setting your cat on fire.
You then put the limit_girl_stats.py script in your 'girlpacks' directory and open it with a text editor to set the limits you want, it should be fairly easy to see how even if you're not a programmer, max_money =300 is setting the maximum money price for a girl for example, min_posing=50 would mean every girl has at least 50 skill in Posing. The default settings are how I'm currently playing it- $300 max price so I can buy any girl as my starter, no additional prices or lottery, and zero skills.
With Python 3 installed you now run the script and it goes through the folder and edits all Description.json files to apply the limits you've set. If all has gone well you should now be able to open the game and enjoy the rebalanced (some may say unbalanced..) gameplay that you've configured. I did have to fix a small error in one of the girlpacks Description.json manually as it wasn't properly formed (It ended with a comma, that's valid in Javascript but not JSON) but every other girl worked fine- and that's with pretty much all packs installed.

I agree. I definitely found it worthwhile to go and edit the json files for the girls so I could tweak them to have a decent mix of girls that are affordable in the early game, some more expensive ones that open up in the mid game, and then a few late game girls with the stats increasing a bit at each stage. For the early and mid game girls I generally tweaked their stats to all be near zero so I can actually build them up myself. The late game girls it makes more sense for them to start off with higher stats although I don't like them having 100s. I also like to tweak it so that most of the girls require mafia influence to recruit.

I recently encountered a bug: The work timer went down to 0:00, however, work did not finish. New customers arrived and I could assign girls to it, indefinitely. Had to terminate the game and reload.
It happend when I zoomed in on a video quite at the end of work (timer was already at 0:00 when I opend the vid). After stopping the zoomed video, this happend...
