There is currently no specific date for the next gen update.

Just remember Snekk is doing all of this by themselves in their free time with other improvements (Such as the addition of pixel sprites) taking up some more time.

Considering how much there was in the QSP version expect it to take a while to port and recode to the Twine/html format.

I could easily be wrong with my assumption but after checking the Subscribestar; the new html version certainly seems more female protag focused. Which while understandable; as the mass majority of games like this are, its still a little saddening as this version scratched some itches not usually seen elsewhere.

I may be wrong in this assumption, but the female focus is probably to focus more on the preg system foundation rather then becoming fem protag only. In the most recent update there, hes added the pixel stuff for male protags getting it on with people so that may be more accessible in the next dev vers.

There are only 6339 female protagonist games on this site. There are 13791 male protag games. More than twice the number of games are male protags over female ones.

"Focused" is the keyword, there is a backlog of 9+ years of games on this site, 5741 of those games are tagged as "Abandoned", and who knows how many are still version 0.01 that haven't been touched for a over a year that has yet to be tagged. The *key-phrase* is "Games like this" not all games on this site period. I could list off several games that share similar tags and kinks (But I wont as I believe it's against the rules) and too many of them for my liking; are sub simulators or bad end galleries.
Yes, mathematically I am incorrect. However in the few months I've been here; I've seen a maddening amount of NTR fanatics, animal "Enthusiasts", Dark Urge cravers, and AI Slop (With supposedly a few gems here and there). So you'll have to excuse me when I look at the progress of the HTML version and see a staggering amount of uteri (Holy shit that's an actual word?) and eggs of the player character in nearly every publicly visible post I looked at.
I would be glad to be wrong, and as the kind individual below my original post pointed out it's still all very foundational at the moment, literally anything goes.

This will be for quotations and question answering considering most of the info is already several pages back.

1. There will be no more updates to the QSP it is now being redone in twine
2. Snekk has stated (cannot find the post again ) that they want to get the new Twine version to where the QSP version is before adding in completely new areas.
3. Systems for twine are being reworked from QSP so it will take time to get back to that state (I mean seriously there is a LOT of quests and areas in the QSP even if you think you found it all)
4. Because art was a point of contention, small pixel style art is being implemented for minor NPCs whilst major ones keep their current art.
5. A Wiki will be coming (Believe Snekk said after the twine vers is sufficently done not sure on exact quote)
6. Dont expect updates to be quick, Snekk is but one person doing a hell of a lot for our enjoyment of this sort of game

The rework wasn't even for a new ui, When snekk was updating the QSP version with new content, some of the old content would randomly break and it was becoming a pain to fix so a vote was put forward and the decision made to move to twine/html

Far better now that later. Wouldn't want to see another No Haven situation where years are pumped into the game only for it to crumble under its own weight.

I want to get a quote for a release out but I keep forgetting small details, like the Frog questline can send Red to jail and she needs to be able to be bullied over there.

The main things that are missing from a release are the goblin caves and some of the arena stuff. The city is rather sparse but it's playable and I can add in the rest in later updates.

I would be concerned of that with changing engines and art styles after so much has been done with the game. Glad to see that the idea of replacing all the art was not done.

That is a better reason than the one I saw in the replies here that engines were being switched because people complained it was low effort.

I wonder what the next update might have. I did enjoy the caves a bit, but I know there are other things involved with it. I guess we will see. I wonder if the Island items can be re-worked, and at the very least, some sort of portrait might make things a bit better at getting an idea of what the player looks like. I know during the pre update, there was an issue with displaying based upon which character race the MC was.

I can't wait. It was one of my favorite games while things were coming out. Loved the story elements, the dungeons, and the scenes were awesome. I just wish the storylines were more clearly defined. Sometimes It wasn't clear how everything tied together.
