It seems 22 month , CMIIW~So from announcement to release how long did it actually take?
I think it was over a year from when it was first announced up until release (i don't have exact dates, sadly). So from announcement to release how long did it actually take?
h265 is generally better in a lot of ways but chances are you can't play it on some mp4 playersWhat's the difference between H265 and H264?
They mentionned it would take 'weeks' in their discord. They said they were going to release a 4K render the Fischl x Slime. Did that end up happening?
bro u wot. "I want to watch games like genshin" - the 3rd entry is literally genshin? These are not the 2D Games types that I want to watch. I want to watch games like Genshin Impact and other Anime style games. None of these that I see are anime style animations. Really do not compare one style against another. Vicineko pretty much has to do all his from scratch while the other styles have all sorts of models already and just have to change hair, color, and size making it much damn simpler.
Really irks me when people compare standard 3D like all of the above to anime style 3D. It's way damn easier to take standard realistic 3D models and do the animations with them than creating ones from scratch!
the main problem is that h265 uses a ton more resources due to decode/encode load on cpus. Also the patent fees are dumb. h264 is free, h265 isnt. You as a private user may not have to use them, but major streaming platforms/video hosters would have to pay the patent to use hvec codec. I'd love to see more use out of AV1 insteadh265 is generally better in a lot of ways but chances are you can't play it on some mp4 players
there are just so many creators who do it better/faster while they still say they're taking their time.Whenever I check this thread, I suddenly feel a lot more sympathy for content creators and truly understand why some of them refuse to interact with their fans/followers/supporters in absolute terms. The level of hyper-entitlement from people these days is legit off-the-charts.
Correct, at 4K even a 4090 with a 13900 still takes 2.5 hours per scene with EEVEE. My older 3080ti build needs 4+ hours for some scenes. But we already got through quite a few, so just working on that still on the side while preparing the new animation (。> ‿ ◕。)They mentionned it would take 'weeks' in their discord.
As we've said many times, we still have much to learn and we're constantly trying new things. We check out all kinds of things from films to games to other animators for techniques and inspiration.there are just so many creators who do it better/faster while they still say they're taking their time.
So many creators do it faster. Not better in my opinion. Most look like plasticthere are just so many creators who do it better/faster while they still say they're taking their time.
