Hey All!

As the Dev (Groovers Games) said before in the last and previous updates and posts, the work is being done and when ready, an official announcement on the release will be made, as they are getting closer to finishing. Nevertheless, the Dev will NOT sacrifice the quality and awesome work to rush things now as they are closer to finishing the Remastered Expansion and first Chapter of LiBC - Life in Big City. The focus right now is to finish the remaining works and get to the final phase of testing, then it will be announced, and soon after it will be released and everyone will finally get to experience and enjoy this much anticipated VN game. ;-)

Either way, this hot, unique and amazing VN game will be worth the wait as I said before. You will all see soon enough. In the meantime, enjoy some other VN Games - there are some good ones out there too! -

That's not how it works...

1. Abandoned: used in the following cases:
   • The developer states that the development has been permanently suspended.
   • After 3 months of inactivity from the developer's public creator/crowdfunding accounts (Patreon, SS, etc), we will resolve special circumstances or scenarios on a case-by-case basis (no creator accounts, creators developing for free, Patreon accounts under review/ban).
   • No game update has been released for an abnormally long period of time (>18 months).
   • Game threads that are marked On-hold for over 6 months with no game update.
   • Note: this prefix is only removed upon the release of a new update for purchase/download.

The game is not complete, nor abandoned.

The new coming Remastered Expansion of Life in Big City, (formerly Victoria in Big City),

The game's new name is Life in Big City. It will have the "formerly" know as prefix in the OP when the update comes out, and they will put the "old" version in a spoiler.

I am glad that you also came to the same conclusion as me
Now you know why this dev should not have announced such an optimistic release date in the bombastic announcement posted here by Obranyl made at page 79 ---
I'm sure Groover was in good faith and really believed that a July 2024 release would be possible... and that was what he wanted... but time passes and he doesn't like the result... in fact in a recent announcement he said that releasing it as it is today would mean ruining the game... and ruining his reputation... because in that post he enthusiastically describes how the project he authored would become I just said in May 2024 what is apparent to all of you today. .. time has passed... I believe that slowly the announcements ofGroover are becoming more and more honest... and this is good because I see that he is trying to keep the promises he made in May... provably he overestimated the skill of his new collaborators... but I am convinced that maybe next summer or at the end of 2025 we will see with our own eyes the result

They even deleted the post where I had posted one of the best scenes of this game with the beautiful Victoria wearing an excellent hairstyle that was in perfect topic with this thread

This is what i think about the delay but I don't want more deleted post so you can read in the off topic discussion about this game... I Think the delay is related to the fact that Groover will never release the full chapter/season 1 until his mysterious collaborators can come up with a better result than what exists in the version of VIBC present today in this thread and I believe the dev has already rejected many drafts and ideas they have proposed to him.

I am just a fan of this game and I'm not afraid to make a mistake in my prediction as to the reasons for such a long delay and I think it is obvious that Gtoover is hiding something, so I have decided to create the off topic thread dedicated to Victoria today and by this way you all can call me a moron as soon as the new Groover Games masterpiece comes out...
and I will agree with you all.. and I will happily call myself a moron because the only thing I want is to be able to download the new version of this game.

I mean ...yes in a way you are going off the handle, however there has been no update on pateron since November 11th, as it stands today that is 39 days without a report/update/ anything constructive, I can see why people are questioning what is happening, even an update to say " we are working hard at it, and are progressing very well" would help, but silence just causes doubt

Dear Patrons,

First and foremost, I want to sincerely apologize for the long silence. Unfortunately, some things didn’t go as planned. I had hoped that this post would be the last one before the game’s release, and my goal was to finish everything before Christmas. However, there will be a delay. This is due to some decisions I made which, as it turns out, were not the best, and now I’m facing the consequences.

I understand this might sound like a vague excuse, but unfortunately, I can’t go into full detail about everything. So, I’ll focus on what’s important and game-related.

The game will continue in the same form and spirit as it has been so far. One of the significant changes will be ensuring that no relationship in the game feels forced—players will have greater freedom in how they approach the story. This will not be a remastered version but rather a continuation of the same narrative.

The game will retain its title, Victoria in Big City. Of course, there will be some improvements and refinements—though not everything will be included in the next update, you can expect to see them in future updates.

This doesn’t mean that all the work I’ve done since the last update has gone to waste. During this period, I’ve primarily focused on creating new scenes that continue Victoria’s adventures. I understand that the gap between updates has been too long, and I regret that certain circumstances have made it this way.

I do have a plan for the future to ensure things look different moving forward, and I hope I’ll be able to put it into action. This project is incredibly important to me, and I’ve devoted countless hours to it over the past few years. I just need to ask for a little more patience from you. Believe me, I’m just as eager to release this update as you are to play it.

Sometimes, we need to take a step back to move two steps forward.

Thank you all for your incredible support and belief in this project. It means the world to me, and I deeply appreciate it.

So, the game won't change a name, it will not be a remaster but just a normal continuation.
For most imrovements wait until the update after the next update.
May, June, July, August, September, October, November, December and finally we are back where it started
