yeah, but it was the developer who gave July as the exact date when I directly asked him this question....
I replay to him that reworking a game from scratch is impossible to know when will be ready!

In this post I was suggesting to the Dev to do one last story update without changing anything to close the season 1 and then make the second season with the suggestions received from supporters this would definitely shorten the processing time

Groover was too optimistic in putting the July date in his post of a prime because I think it is obvious to everyone that even the post itself took a long time... in fact it is a very long post to read let alone put into practice inside the game Victoria's whole story including other characters and adding periods of the girl's past... and in doing all this create a story that can be consistent with everything and the opposite of everything when just to get to the 0-55 version it took almost 4 years!!!

if the version as described in this post will be ready in Christmas it will be a success... but I think (I hope to be wrong) we have to wait more.

that is my recap about what has happened here at the end of April 2024 and that has become the only possible discussion to be had in this thread.
I said long time ago this: the remastering was a very bad idea or an excuse to delay the future updates of a game that was already perfect like it is today in 0.55 and I really love it!

you can get an idea by go in the Image folder of the 0.55 version ... i think (as the dev write in the remastering message... it will requires at least double numbers of the images of version 0.55 and if he want add new animation for all scenes and do a remaster also for the already developed renders....

I think 1 year or more with the well now fast? updates this game had in the previous 4 years!!!

the first impression on his message was for me just full of excuses to delay the updates...
Just look at the 12 and more point he write in the message

If you read the previous and most recent Dev Posts you will see it is not just the same story with new renders, friend. It is a remastered expansion, and that's a big difference from a typical remaster. The VN Game's expansion is a continuation and improvement of the existing main storyline, and from the Dev's update post last month there was well over 1450 new renders and counting already done, not including new animations. So, clearly there will be new content and a continuation of the main story. The Dev also said they will announce an actual release date when they are ready since they are still working on the remastered expansion for Life in Big City.

I hope this answers your question, but I suggest you read the Dev updates to learn more. As the Dev mentioned in their previous post, their new upcoming remastered expansion will be very big, hot and entertaining. Aside from the fact that Groovers Games does awesome work, I'm looking forward to this hot VN Game with gorgeous Victoria! ;-) It's definitely going to be worth the wait! - Cheers!

I'm actually thinking they should mark VIBC as COMPLETE and just Launch LIBC as a different VN altogether at this point. I'm moving VIBC 0.55 into my completed VN folder. Just my opinion on it though.

The teaser that featured the poker night scene is old. Groover posted it on May 10 2024 and provably it is an old scene that had been done by the old team

What worries me most is that Groover does not have the capacity without the new partnership to take his game to the next level ... PARTNERSHIP REQUIRES MONEY... and in his patreon the supporter are just 150... and surely the day he wrote the announcement he had already lost the partnership of the old team ... HE CAN'T USE RENDERING FROM THE OLD TEAM!.. THAT IS the meaning of the word remastering,, ALL THE RENDERS MUST BE REMASTERED BY THE NEW PARTNERSHIP TEAM!!!! This is what I understand from reading the announcement in May 2024
I hope to be wrong but I believe that in the recent teaser posts he is just recycling old material that was not used in the version 0.55 game ... in fact he keeps talking about the poker scene with Michael for over 4 months Poker scene was planned for Michael path as you can see there is Michael in the poker table ... the ugliest thing is that if this is true this game seems to be abandoned ...
He would talk about his new "imaginary" partnership if this new team really existed.... There are teaser that comes with next level rendering? all the renders I have seen seems to have the same great quality of the V0.55 version. there are not "next level" quality renders

Obviously I have no proof but everything seems to indicate that the abandonment is close and that he keeps posting teasers just to get milk from the few supporters he has left
of the remarks there are a lot of abandoned games and often this is done with bombastic posts like the announcement that Groover made in May

No, my friend. Victoria is the star MC and the story is a continuation from v0.55. It's a remastered expansion, so the story is ongoing as the Dev mentioned in their previous updates, and the original story will remain the same with many improvements. Basically, the main story will continue with new stories where it left off in v0.55 as we have seen from the teasers showing us what's coming in Chapter 1. The only thing that has changed is the title, which is now Life in Big City, formerly Victoria in Big City.

I believe it's going to be epic, hot and very entertaining just like the Dev said in their previous posts. The new upcoming version starting with Chapter 1 will be worth the wait. I'm surely looking forward to it! I hope that helps answer your question, my friend. - Cheers! -

Yeah! I not sure if you know the updates story of this game... This game was abandoned for about 1 year
and this was always caused by the fact that Groover needs a team he is not one man band as many developer are... (for esemple DecentMonkey works alone and he is the only commander in cheef... this reduce the time between new updates). I believe that to keep a team motivated there has to be a clear hierarchy and a chain of command that is efficient and supportive... it is a fact that the team changed with the May's announcement, and to get many heads to agree on the taste of the commander chef requires serious motivation, which is usually money.
If Groover is a weak leader the team takes over and there will always be some disagreements over the paths. someone do not want the story to be too much hardcore others would like more extreme scenes! This can be a reason of the delay

If this happens... those on the team start posting random pictures as happens in fan arts threads... like the foòòowing that is not good as the Vic images in the 0.55 game

just continue the story by adding a few flashbacks of their past and a few characters that's it...
