The devs last update said Old Saves would not work, however I think it's a YMMV as my old save so far have worked but I was at the very end of the content from 0.55.

Yes, but it has renders that are animated via the game script rather than actual videos that are played.

I would be interested in your opinion after you play it through. I'm judging by your favorites list and half of the ones you have listed I love and half I hate.
