Another one has found the Way! I only pay for plugins now. Looks and clothes you can make on your own with a weekend of learning really. 2 wks if dumb as rocks or lack of time. Learn to fish everyone instead of buying canned fish.You can easily make it yourself using daz3d using face transfer and then make genesis 2 from genesis 8 by placing it in VaM ) there are guides on the Hub how to do it all, I recently got carried away with this topic and now I don't understand why I bought any content at all, if you can do anything you want

I understand what you're trying to tell me, but that wasn't quite the question. I wanted to know: If, for example, Podflower uses pubic hair V1 in his look and packs this in custom in his VAR: Now if Veckterror also uses pubic hair V1 in a look but this is not packed in its VAR. Would VAM then look for and find this pubic hair in the VAR of Podflowers Look when starting the look of Vecterror? Or would VAM only look for it if Vecterror refers exactly to the VAR of Podflower in its look? If it were so, I don't think that any developer would refer to the VAR of another look creator, but only to a special pubic hair VAR.It would depend on how the .json files are configured.
Most creators are incompetent and are not using .var the way it was intended. That's why you end up with 14 copies of the same pubic hair asset. The idea was for everything to be modular and referencing each other. Like one asset, one standalone .var, not dumping dependencies in the same .var as your main work.
There are also some users that will take a creator's collection of .vars and convert it into a single .var megapack. That will remove duplicate dependencies for that creator's work, but it is still not best practice since those dependencies should not be included in the megapack at all, instead they should be their own standalone asset.
