so wait. does this contain the fasterloading script that hides your vars? and from what I gather aside from the render to desktop/vr the mmd player doesn't work anyway?

I have no idea. its just the file that was posted that went down. it looks like its just the MMD player, thats the only thing in the scripts folder.
But in this other plugins folder for bepinEX its all there!

Are you referring to ASW or the FidelityFX upscaling?
The upscaler thing is incredibly simple and has instructions with it.
Basically just rename the old file, drop the two new ones in and then run the program.

have you tried the FasterVam one? I'm guessing it's the culprit since I downloaded the one from Bob_oblong and it messed up my installation.

Jesus, yall love drama. The only two patreons I regularly support are sirap and zhfx. Sure the drm is heavy handed, but I find the plugin way better than the never-updated free vmd player. It is top quality. Yall need to chill and get back to fapping. Use the free vmd plugin as described in my signature, or pay or crack zhfx. Stop creating multi-page bitch fests in this thread. I didn't touch sharpness and turned renderScale down to 0.70. I was happy with that as visual quality.
I would say set that as high as you can while getting frame rates you are happy with.
once you have a visual quality you are happy with, no point making it higher though!
So as High as frame rate allows, and as Low as your eyes say is ok. Tune to taste.

With 0.77 my game got teary in vr. Do i need to change in game settings? It's currently at max.

mine was almost identical at 0.70.
I did notice that it randomly turned to garbage after relaunching later on. I rebooted and it went back to looking good, not sure what caused this.
Try rebooting your machine and launching VaM from clean, 0.77 should be nearly the same as the original image was.
Tearing might be more ASW (spacewarp) which does frame interpolation and gives me odd artifacts sometimes.
Do your testing for the fidelityFX with ASW/SSW etc turned off.

Never tried it, I just grabbed it so I could reup it for others until it was given the clear. I got waaaaay too much stuff to lose

yeah, I tried it, and it did hide or delete my vars and messed up all my scenes. I just nuked the whole thing to be sure. good thing I had a backup, but it was a pain copying a 700gb folder. I'd personally advise against using the fastload script one till we get an actual explanation. that was a nasty little surprise if you weren't prepared.

Since we are still on this topic.. I installed and enabled the FasterVaM.dll and activated it in my game, as per the instructions as I understood them.. I still see all my vars and they appear to load when opening scenes.

I noticed when I checked the "\VaM\BepInEx\LogOutput.log" there is a couple of warnings about a version mismatch.

This is an excellent way to annoy mods of “multiple” servers as is open discussion of certain elements of this topic.

Mentioning f95 on official is pretty stupid too.
