Just in case anyone is curious about the details as to why more .vars slows down VAM

is MeshedVR (the main dev of VAM) explaining what the culprit is.
TLDR; the game engine references every morph you have installed each frame. So the more morphs(often included with looks), the more that needs to be computed each frame.
Having a lot of clothing installed does appear to slow down the person atom menu, but I cant confirm that.

Browser Assist has a working beta that currently has a "var management" feature which achieves the same goal of speeding up load times/ boosting fps by unloading Vars you arent using.
