First link from github.
I start vam with the openvr.bat when using VR.
You can also adjust the sharpening within config or with hotkeys but stock settings seems good enough.
Oh... I already tried it. But I'm mostly CPU bottlenecked, so no big gains... =/

What are your specs?

I didn't mean that particular video, i meant the original var scene. i'm sure i saw it on the vamhub a year or two ago. might of have had geroxslayer's Jannie ↓ in the preview. I'm sure i downloaded it at some point, i might have even tried it out with that model. (diffent model may have been used in the preview) but i can't for the life of me remember who it's by or what the scene was called

I'm not sure then, sorry. I'm pretty sure the one I linked only releases videos, not VARs.

5900x, 1080ti and 32gb of ram +50GB pagefile on the D: drive (M2) to absolutely make sure :p
Iam also using process lasso ontop of the cpu fix.
Idk if that makes sense, but it definitely helps on my end.

Have you tried ? its an upscaler/ frame gen program. It's not free sadly... I use AFMF for framegen in VaM since it is built into my driver utility.

is Digital Foundry comparing Lossless scaling, FSR3 framegen (AFMF is a part of this) and DLSS 3 framegen. TLDR; it takes minimal resources to 2 or 3x your framerate..... at least visually.

I've tried. But I mainly use VR so that's off the table.
Also there is quite some input lag when I've tested this with other games.

Yeah, I dont play in VR, so the experience is much more "passive". Any added input lag is not really noticable when you cant interact with anything in real time :HideThePain:

does anyone have Alter3go.Anya? the link in another thread is dead
Go Here -->alter3go-collection
Click Pixeldrain
Scroll until you find

How is your performance in VR? I know it depends on scene/headset, but how is overall experience? Do you get playable FPS?

Yes.
Around 30 fps on my personal quite heavy scene with 3 person atom's using soft body physics (but limited) + 2-3 lights and lower hair quality.
40-50Fps with just 2 persons. Lower fps are fine if they are not falling too far under 30 in VR Imo
5900x, 1080ti and 32gb of ram

Just in case anyone is curious about the details as to why more .vars slows down VAM is MeshedVR (the main dev of VAM) explaining what the culprit is.
TLDR; the game engine references every morph you have installed each frame. So the more morphs(often included with looks), the more that needs to be computed each frame.

Having a lot of clothing installed does appear to slow down the person atom menu, but I cant confirm that.

is the most complete solution to the load times/low fps as already mentioned. Also Browser Assist has a working beta that currently has a "var management" feature which achieves the same goal of speeding up load times/ boosting fps by unloading Vars you arent using.
First, thanks for recommending Var Browser
Would just like to ask how do u add more scenes/looks?

It works fine but I noticed a lot of vars are not loaded, even though all the vars are inside AllPackages. Do I need to manually toggle "AutoInstall" inside the menu?

So "installing" a var will move it (and it's dependencies) to Addonpackages so that VaM can see it. If you just click a scene from the scene view in Varbrowser that will load the scene, though you can click the little gear in the corner of the icon to "install in background" or autoinstall/favourite that var.

Since I don't know what is causing your problem, I've written a few things to help you get a grasp on Var browser, and hopefully find your missing vars.

My experience with 'autoinstall' is that it does not install dependencies, so my autoinstalled scenes are broken, unless i manually install them. So i don't bother with clicking in that but instead only use favorites.

Atleast it does for me.
