Actually some porn studios are working on their own product. No I'm not talking about holodexx, that was a joke. This is actually a more concerted effort by several large houses. I'd like to remind everyone why we actually have the internet and how it really came to be. Had it not been for the porn industry needing a way to let people pay for content we would never have the internet. It was the porn industry that saved it from its pubescent early html days. Had they not stepped in we would not have it of that you can be certain. No other company was looking to take the internet to the next level as a matter of fact most of the big players at that time wanted to continue with the models they had that were working. I'm referring to the sears catalog model that amazon was able to translate to the internet after serious groundwork had been done by the porn industry.

In any case, I've been told next year is when the early release will be out. Basically a demo/beta release. This is being done with vr and ar both in mind. It will not be translated over to crapple because the ceo there hates porn with a passion for some reason.

Hmm im not sure historically about this though for sure the porn industry had a big interest and neither amazon and google existed when they approached the internet and they where always fast in adapting any monetization method you can think off before many others like referring systems for webmasters the porn industry was on the forefront here also adapting CMS for Content Distribution Timed Releases and Aggregation, though even more interesting is how they have not seen the youtube boom coming and how it would rapture their old structures apart and even make it possible for 1 young BlackHat (Pornsite Cracker) to take them over completely in the end getting full Control of the biggest structures and starting dictating production (Here we go every Porn Girl becoming a Stepsister).

That was very surprising in all their advanced state but they didn't saw this big Youngster load cuming.

I still wonder how he feels being able to have achieved that instead of joining the Mafia with your Dark Side you take over the Porn Industry by clever tasking the overtake out letting them bleed out on their false greedy assumptions and than catch them in the right time 1 by 1 he is/was a very Evil Genius

I know of several industry side line efforts but most of them vanished fast so interesting though if this is true only Mindgeek currently has this Power and Resources to pull it off successfully as the current CORE in the end and prepare parts of this transition into the Metaverse Space.

PS: I was also once upon a time a Porn Site Hacker was crawling deep in their Systems around but i would have never got the idea to take them over (or cause any harm), especially not with all the possible implications of this action and this Evil Genius has also blood of many Girls/Guys that couldn't take the pressure of this changing industry on his hands and i wonder if he views that just as collateral damage in retrospective of his actions.

Depends on how long you are prepared to wait. VAM 2.0 is over 2 years late as it is, it maybe another 2 years before it actually releases but I feel if it does get released it probably wont be that far away.

You'll probably need to wait 2 years after its official release before content of a similar level to VAM 1 becomes available. I also got this feeling like the improvements in VAM 2.0 wont be big compared to VAM 1 but I hope its a huge upgrade.

Vam 1.0 is over 4 years old, so in terms of 2.0, expect that in the year 2024 (2023 for the optimists) it will be on a par with 1.0 in terms of content. But there is no doubt it will get better, it is the technological evolution. But to drop the 1st now to wait for the 2nd, sorry but - lol.

So pretty much all the mods from 1.X will be obsolete in 2.X? I just got back into VAM and maybe I should just wait then. I rather not be so attached to 1.X when 2.X will be more optimized and better.

Does anyone know if there's a way to increase shadow draw distance? on big maps I usually find it pretty jarring that the shadows will disappear a couple meters ahead.
I couldn't find an option, is there an addon that fixes it or some xml / config file I can change the values?

No, you're using it right. There really isn't much being shared anymore. If it is, it's very sparingly.

There were Discord servers that were supposed to be replacements for the general page, but they've basically become a wasteland of memes, shit posting, and unanswered requests. There's allegedly a "beyond chat" that, from what I've read here, is no better than the Discord servers.

Don't even bother with the Reddit page. It's literally nothing but a glorified Patreon ad for creators.

The only places left are the Hub and kemono.party. With Kemono, search for an artist you're interested in and hope for the best. And even then, they've adapted to remove their stuff after posting it.

In my opinion, unless you pay everyone, VaM is pretty much dead.

Best bet is just to start the momentum going again here encouraging people to fill up the pot for a 2022 Paywall Pack. I wouldn't necessarily blame solely redknight screwing everything up for everyone on this site, probably had a lot to do with covid and a lot of extra time on people's hands.

after a lot of resetting, it became normal again I don't know why... but for the finger recognition of the index valve to be active I had to do something...

Yeah I am thinking might be nice to grab some new content.
Torrents are hard to organise due to not wanting to use my own torrent hosting.

Maybe use one.. none the less having a collection of rare stuff that can constantly be uploaded etc.
