So I recently started getting more in-depth with this game but I'm having some trouble with two main things.

First is I can't seem to load characters into scenes. I can load their preview scene fine from the scene browser but within another scene I can't load them. When I go to load a look the only options I'm given are a bunch of the default stuff and 2 or 3 of the actual custom ones I have. I tried loading Demi (from Subverse) into the scenes but it doesn't load her properly.

The other issue is the animations don't seem to work properly in a lot of the pre-made scenes. The guy's or girls' hips/head won't be aligned properly so he'll kinda just hump the air or rub his dick on her body. I've tried adjusting them but I don't see how to change it permanently, going into play mode will have them go back to the default positions.

For the first one: A lot of the addons don't add the Look as a custom Appearance or Preset, just a scene. So you'll need to load the scene, go to Edit > Person Atom > Appearance General (iirc), then Save that as a custom one. Then you can load it in the same way. For overwriting characters in other scenes, you'll want to only tick Appearance when loading - selecting Physical seems to overwrite Plugins, and Pose will move them.
Demi for me doesn't load the hair - it looks like the Appearance was either made without it, or it's an object in the world that is attached after. I don't know how to duplicate that, but other addon models have the same thing - Madame M, Poison, Vora's equipment...

Any particular scenes for the second? Reign/Kitty/Zen Mocap stuff seems fine for me. You might be able to fix it by applying the DiviningRod plugin to the male - it'll re-orient the dick to work properly, but won't fix the whole pose.

Not sure if there are other ways to load looks, but what I do is load the scene they're originally in, then save them as an appearance preset. Now you can either make your own scene, or load another scene, add a person atom, then load the appearance preset on the person atom. This will get clothes, hair, skin and morphs on the said atom.

For the second one, the penetration issue, I've come to accept this as a virtamate flaw--I would suggest using the SexAssist plugin, it helps with the penetration. Not so sure if it also has an option for fingers or hands in mouths. Also, vamx does a good job with penetration. It always aligns. Not sure what plugin they use tho. Plus they have pre-made sex poses, + a lot of other things if you get lazy trying to animate.

For the joint adjust issues, maybe the joint controls are locked or they're off. Try playing around with other settings.

Maybe Demi's hair is a CUA, for that you need a plugin (i think thats "CUA Manager" on the hub) so you can save it with the appearance. Only drawback for this one is you also need to load the plugin to the scene where you want Demi to go.

I think I've figured out loading looks now, thanks. Haven't really gotten the chance to test it but seems simple enough.

As for the second question, these two are the main ones I noticed. The succubus one worked fine until the scene where she's bent over the table at which point it fell out mid-way through. I'll definitely check out both of the suggested plugins to help with that. Hoping the auto-enable on plugins that was recently added makes it not too much of a hassle.

On Demi not loading properly, I have CUA Manager installed already so it was probably just me attempting to load looks wrong.

Also, I was trying to load the scene "Shortstack Shenanigans" earlier but it crashed the game both with the normal version and the performance version intended for weaker PCs. The PC I'm running it on has 32GB of RAM which is the recommended amount for the normal edition so I don't understand why I can't even load the performance version with as few processes running as I can manage.

One last thing, for plugins I'd really appreciate if someone could share BootyMagic or Naturalis. TittyMagic is free but the improved ass physics plugins seem to be behind a paywall which is a huge buzzkill for ass appreciators like myself.

I crashed loading the full version and I had to wait several minutes to load the performance version and I have a computer with all of the biggest numbers. It's just a really heavy scene for some reason.

Oh i remember this one, yeah its good, but holy sheet is it unstable.
I don't know why either, like what actually causes the long load times of saves? I suspect sound effects as its usually right before they are loading that VAM crashes but i haven't had much time to dig into it.

Oh if i remmber theres a small trick to a higher load chance and its done by loading files while paused.

I downloaded van from this post then update it to 1.21.0.4, activated the creator key and enabled all sites and hub in the settings and still cant access the hub (failed to fetch Hub (Unkown Error), i also tried adding it to the firewall in win 10 and still got the error. anyone hav the same issues or is it just me

Not sure what you mean by this? If you could go into a bit more detail that'd be great.

Simply put:
1. When you start the game click this button, it opens a completely empty scene


2. Next pause the game with this box

3. Next open any scene, don't minimize or click away keep the game in focus.
4. unfreeze once the games fully loaded.

This process gives you the best chances of a scene loading without crashing AFAIK.

So I still couldn't get Demi to load right, and I also figured out it's not just her, various other characters don't load certain body parts or things either. I tried plugging the CUA manager in the scene itself and also setting it as a session plug-in as one of my defaults but nothing seems to work. I'm at a loss.

On the bright side I found out via Pond Pounding that you can get some of those really intensive scenes to load by going into the performance settings and turning down a few things. They still looked great and I have to say, Pond Pounding and Shortstack Shenanigans are probably some of the hottest porn I've ever experienced. Even with advanced physics and DiviningRod the penetration still doesn't work consistently though. AutoBulger also didn't seem to work with the Shortstack goblins.

On the subject, a bunch of the shortstack character looks I've got i.e. Ankha, Midna, etc. are way too big to work with shortstack scenes and their proportions are too off to work with them as tall as a regular person so I'm not sure what you can actually do with them. Is there a way to re-size them or something? I went into the morph settings but nothing makes their whole body smaller by any significant amount.

Some creators will give instructions on specific settings for physics and monitor refresh etc. for animations to work optimally...

If stuff is still missing than theres potentially a CUA issue, which is no easy fix.

I did that and got what I could, but Demi's hair wasn't in there. It was already loading in her default scene, but not when loading her as a look into another. I think her hair is the only thing that isn't loading properly now, at least. I also added the Asset VAMifier plugin to my session default but doesn't seem to help.

Well now I feel stupid. Was testing this out and it doesn't work quite as well as I'd hoped, and I also found out a lot of other characters don't get loaded properly. Ankha's ears, hair, crown, and tail don't load at all, Tristana's head is replaced by a white void with eyes in it and Poppy is missing her ears and hair. They're the same as Demi where they load fine in their default scene but trying to load them elsewhere doesn't load certain parts of them.

So i suspect i had a similar issue a while ago now, the hair/crown etc of these characters is likley to be a CUA.
A CUA is basically a solid object thats not actually part of the character.
You will need to "superglue" them to the character using a seperate plugin. atleast thats how it used to work.

I don't have any of the character who need this anymore and havent touched it in a while, but you might be in some luck.

There seems to be a new and potentialy easier way to do this.

Download and use the plugin called "CUA Manager"
Follow the instructions on it and see how it goes.

Small additional note, Swapping characters into scenes is rarely ever a feasible option due to how the models, bones, etc work.
Its a sad reality i know. You would likely have a better time either trying to fully "fix up" a scene to fit the characters you add or making your own entirely.

I already had the plug in but turns out the entire time I hadn't been using it right. For some reason I assumed it would work automatically. Got everyone loading in properly now with the exception of this Zelda, whose hair is a CUA but I can't load in any other scenes for some reason. I can remove it then load it again with the preset I saved in her default scene but nowhere else.

Also, I was trying to do some stuff in VamX and when opening it I get error messages saying I'm missing a ton of stuff and I think it's to do with the switch from Steam to Patreon. I think I need the files "vamX.1.xx" and "vamX.Base.1". I can't find the files on kemono.party so if anyone could share them or direct me to a download link that'd be great.

Also, trying to use body tracking by combining SlimeVR and owotrack with Embody but haven't had luck so far. My waist tracker is detected by Steam because it works in a different VR sex game, Come Closer, but the embody plugin doesn't seem to detect it because it doesn't show up in the Trackers settings. Any advice on getting that working would be great.

I've never been a fan of VamX myself, and therefore will never use it, but F95 has a dedicated thread for it, which you might find helpful.

The one with the "superglue"? yeah you need to manually set that up compleetly, sometimes connecting multiple "parts" to a profile.

Try the one i linked above it from what i read is more "automatic". Ill try out that zelda tonight see if i can get it working.
