same, I told them when the issue started occurring and that since the software hadn't been updated and it just suddenly didn't work that a something else updated that killed compatibility, IDK, maybe the game will get an update to the modern-day since it probably hadn't gotten and update in the last decade, hell even the camera equipment and audio quality is about 2015 quality, seriously confused how they still operate...
I got the videos working again.
After a lot of updates and testing, I think at the end of the day, it was a permissions issue. I'm thinking the permissions may have been forcibly changed with a windows update, which is why it crapped out all of the sudden. Full disclosure, I did also download an AMD graphics utility and ran that (which performed a factory reset of my display adapter), but I saw no change after that. So the steps I took prior to getting it working:
-Navigate to the program folder. In my case, just to be totally safe, I reinstalled it in a path OUTSIDE of the program files, as they are naturally locked down in the system there.
-Right click the parent folder and go to properties.
-I did both of the following steps together, so I'm not 100% positive which fix it is, but I'm pretty sure it is the security one:
-I went into the sharing tab and selected Share.
In the new window, hit the drop down and select Everyone. Make sure it has Read/Write permissions. Click the share button at the bottom.
-Next, go to the security tab (Pretty positive this is what fixed it. While tinkering, I eventually forced a runtime error that specified that the program was not allowed file access). Click Edit under the first box.
In the new box, select Add.
In the search window, enter Everyone, then select OK.
Back on the Permissions box, highlight Everyone, and give it full control. Click Apply, then OK. Wait for it all to propagate. Then launch the program again. I got the base videos going, and it's working with my custom girls.
