The guy is in the middle of the war in Ukraine, I think we can wait a little before saying whether or not the game has been abandoned
1. How do you know they are on the front line?
2. Even if they are, why do you presume they are dead?
ISTR that the devs said in a Patreon post a year or more ago that some of them are Ukrainian and some of them are Russian, which obviously made working on the game very difficult.

The game is not abandoned. We are working on the final version and it is almost finished. We cannot devote all our time to the game, so we work in our free time. There is no point in abandoning the game when it is almost 99% ready
