I didn't do that in my new game, which may have been a mistake. I suspect that the most important thing was buying the more expensive robe, which boosted my Look from 10 to 12 and has made relationships with Ginny and Hermione progress so much faster.

I actually find this a little unfortunate, Ginny's hotter than Lavender (imo) but her sex scenes aren't as detailed/involved as Lavender, and she won't have sex anymore if you date Lavender. This is even true if she's blatantly cheating on your character! In a future update maybe the creator can upgrade Ginny's scenes to give more options.
I've played through the game several times now and, on my latest and most successful attempt, when the deadline of December 20th arrived I found that I had the following quests not yet unlocked (only considering those available for a heterosexual male character in Gryffindor): 4, 9, 14, 44, 57 and 58. I wondered whether I was missing much through not having unlocked those quests. I suspect that some of them might depend on my making the quidditch team, which I failed to do. I also imagine that 57 and 58 involve Lavender. I think I managed to unlock 57 on a previous play-through. This time, though, because I was short of galleons I deliberately didn't buy a bouquet of flowers (which I know how to do) or try to go on the date with her in Hogsmeade, as I didn't want to be expelled for being unable to repay my loan from Gringotts. I felt that missing out on that was no great loss as (1) Lavender's very annoying and (2) getting serious with her makes it harder to progress with the other girls.
I really like the game. It's an interesting contrast with Witch Trainer (though I enjoy that game too), being far less cynical in tone. In spite of all the sex, there's a sort of innocence about it. The player character seems like a really nice guy - at least so long as you overlook his trying to have love affairs with five different girls at once!

As I mentioned earlier, if you get it to the Q-team or not, doesn't mean anything. Without it you can do quite well, without any loss!
The money thing is not as hard as it sounds. You will not expelled until 20th of December, and in further versions, you will have chances to earn money. Like this, don't let you put down with having not enough money to pay back in time.
The Q with Lavender are really worth to experience imo. And there is a way to get rid of her again, so don't worry.
I recommend to also play as female MC. Really worth it, and interesting Q also.
Thanks. I do intend to play as a female character at some point. Regarding the money, on a previous run I found out the hard way that you are actually expelled when the loan is due for repayment, three months after you took it out. That happens early in December, at least a couple of weeks before the 20th.

Ah, sorry to hear (so I finished before being expelled). OK, but it is not too difficult to manage the money problem, if you had a few starts already. Read my above posts about money ... You will succeed ...

I don't know if I should cry or laugh because of a porn game beats every single official Harry Potter game so far, but it is amusing Sure, some interactions get repetitive pretty early, but everything else is a true gem.
