After you free (defeat) the ghost, you should be able to enter the tower.hm, walkthrough tells me for the summon succubus quest, I have to go to the old tower to talk to Melissa. I've been there at daytime, and the seal told me to come at night. Then I came there at night and (besides being first killed by that ghost) The seal still says I shall come at night?

Mine is like that as well, since the last version the movement buttons don't work for me and krowly keeps going up infinitely
There is a secret room on the bottom right of your basement, just try to interact with the wall over there
AFAIK, there is no such scene with her alone.
you can't change directional keys. I suggest to use mouse or gamepad if you don't want to use arrow keys
being stuck moving in one direction is a rare but well known issue of RPG maker games not specific to WaB. Usually it happens because one of the devices you have connected via USB or Bluetooth, that game receives commands from. Could be a steering wheel, Bluetooth adapter, a controller, etc. It helps to unplug them one by one relaunching the game every time to check if it was fixed

Check your Laptop Keyboard, find the Fn key, you need to press this key and the F5 or F6 key AT THE SAME TIME
What helped me was to press the key to make the Character image to appear on screeen (I think is the W key), this made my character to face to the right and efectively unstuck itI'm stuck (can't move) in my basement after trying to create a potion... from searching for "stuck" in this thread I also read that you can use the mouse also? For movement too? For me the mouse does nothing besides turning into a sword
if it keeps happening it means you haven't found the source of the problem. Most likely it's one of the devices, but, in rare cases, could be a software that is remapping keys (like the one that comes with a mouse or keyboard sometimes). If the issue started happening in the previous update then I would suggest to try to remember what new device you got at that time. That's all I can help you with. In most cases it's a gamepad or something like a wii controller that people forgot about.
