Hello all! Just downloaded the new update of the game and all of my controls are messed up. I tried to change it in the game Properties but can't change my Directional to the keys that I want. please help with this.

you can't change directional keys. I suggest to use mouse or gamepad if you don't want to use arrow keys

Mine is like that as well, since the last version the movement buttons don't work for me and krowly keeps going up infinitely

Usually it happens because one of the devices you have connected via USB or Bluetooth, that game receives commands from. Could be a steering wheel, Bluetooth adapter, a controller, etc. It helps to unplug them one by one relaunching the game every time to check if it was fixed

I did what you said but it's still going up, the only movement button that work is down, but when i press it krowly goes to the left

Is there no ingame option to change window size etc? My laptop has pre-set buttons for volume and what have you so pressing F5 or 6 does nothing but change the volume and brightness lol

Check your Laptop Keyboard, find the Fn key, you need to press this key and the F5 or F6 key AT THE SAME TIME

This is because you have the Function keys set as Secondary, and the Multimedia / Utility keys set as Primary, and the Fn key is meant to switch between the 1st and 2nd functions

I'm stuck (can't move) in my basement after trying to create a potion... from searching for "stuck" in this thread I also read that you can use the mouse also? For movement too? For me the mouse does nothing besides turning into a sword (and I'm still stuck )

What helped me was to press the key to make the Character image to appear on screeen (I think is the W key), this made my character to face to the right and efectively unstuck it

if it keeps happening it means you haven't found the source of the problem. Most likely it's one of the devices, but, in rare cases, could be a software that is remapping keys (like the one that comes with a mouse or keyboard sometimes). If the issue started happening in the previous update then I would suggest to try to remember what new device you got at that time. That's all I can help you with. In most cases it's a gamepad or something like a wii controller that people forgot about.

I haven't played the game for a while, but I have difficulties to go forward, even with the help of the WT.
I noticed I have several quests noted as NOT completed but already finished a moment ago like NIGHT GUEST, another (NEW LABORATORY) that is marked completed even if it's written NOT IN THIS VERSION and the line of the space expanding isn't maked done.

My questions is if the problem with previous quests can blocked the game to go forward.

The entrance to the dungeon is in the basement of the tower)"

I believe I did miss the book so need to return and find it, but there is no entrance to the dungeon in the basement of Melissa's Tower. Am I missing something?

There's an entrance, a hole in the ground on the mound where the tower is build. Early in the game it was closed by a seal and guarded by a ghost girl at night. You should have long defeated her by now. Now there's a guard patrolling nearby, but he won't stop you.

Bro listen.
I really like this game. The Stardew Valley style is very good. Love the daily movement of the village, love the quests, absolutely love the monthly updates. Loved the option for instant text too. Almost everything is going great.
But there is one constant problem, the grind. Every time this game is mentioned in other places, the insane grind is always a main point of criticism.
I believe the game would be significantly improved if experience was available in combat. As well as the irritating miss chance that only serves to unnecessarily prolong the battle. I understand that fighting is not the main point here, but the sandbox element of exploration and (very) slow relationship grow. No one is playing WaB for the encounters, so why make the combat so obnoxious?
Another exaggerated requirement is grinding for the professions. Overall to improve time and reduce grind, I believe granting 2 points should be the minimum instead of 1 for any activity. This alone would significantly improve the time required to improve your stats, instead of forcing the player to perform the same action repeatedly for hours.
