At the risk of sounding like some entitled jerk, I will try my hand one last time. It seems like you are not quite getting the crux of the issue (if we can call it that) that I was pointing out. If you understood my position and then wanted to go a different way, I would be happy to leave it at that because the last thing I want to do is try to influence the writing in some direction against the dev's intended purpose.There is a fine line between Cuck vs Cheat - many games I've played have the female character playing away, and the game is billed as NTR. At this time, in WMW, all we have is her dalliance with Trish - imo, that is more like cheating, but depending on some views (not necessarily mine 100%) the husband is getting cucked too. Tbh, I just wanted her to sleep with Trish regardless of what we call it. However, don't worry - re WMW, the paths will diverge more as the story develops...as you'll see.
The fine line between cuck vs getting cheated on is only present in the colloquial definition of "cuck." We tend to just refer to anyone who got cheated on as a cuck, but you have to be careful if you are actually planning a different route for these flavors like you are doing with this game.
The line is actually quite distinct if we are talking about a cuckold (Netorase) vs "cheated on" (NTR) routes. This distinct line is present within the male MC's thoughts, motivations and disposition. The cuckold route will feature a male MC that is actively seeking out situations where he can be cucked. He enjoys this "beta" way of life and encourages the wife to go find some bulls. Basically, cucks are what we see in that BBC club.
The NTR MC, aka an MC getting cheated on, should be distinguished from the willing cuck MC, especially if the game is already split into distinct routes. This MC should not be knowingly encouraging the wife to explore swinging/sharing/cuckold scenarios. The thought of the wife sleeping with someone else should terrify him. To reiterate, the main issue is in the MC's thought process and motivations for his actions. Showing the cuck porn to his wife is not the optimal direction for this route, but it can still work. As I said, the crux of the issue is in the MC's thought process. If he showed this just as a fantasy to spice up the bedroom without wanting things like this to actually happen, it is easier to accept. If we want to blur things some more, it's not even off limits for him to get aroused at the wife's infidelity, but it has to be distinctly flavored as a very depressed, self-loathing, and conflicting boner. That said, it's much better progression to keep things a secret from him for quite a while until the eventual reveal.
I just want to emphasize that this cheated vs cuckold distinction is almost entirely in how the male MC would react to the situation. Your remark about the Trish scene makes me think you didn't fully grasp this difference. The Trish scene happened without the MC's knowledge, so it could be either a cheating situation or a cuckold situation. It's like Schrodinger's NTR. If, and when, the MC finds out about this, his reaction will determine what kind of theme we are working with. I don't know if this Trish scene happens in other routes, but for the cheating route, we should already know how the MC would react to it. He will get pissed. So yes, we could colloquially call him a "cuck," but he should not be acting like a stereotypical willing cuck in this route. Leave that for the cuckold route.
Just consider the intended theme of the cheating route. Isn't the idea to make it painful for the MC by having the wife cheat on him for whatever reason? Does the story of the MC showing her BBC cuckold porn and actually telling her that he wants to see her with another man achieve the intended theme? In general, I'd say no.

I think it's a really important distinction that often times in games of this genre gets forgotten or misinterpreted. Similarly to how pretty much every game that claims to have a sharing relationship quickly devolves into a cheating/cuckold relationship. I'm not sure if it's done purposefully to cater to their subscribers or if they are just misinformed about where the lines are drawn between the various relationship types.Schrodinger's NTR! Does picking the path at the beginning locks us on that particular path? Because even if we pick it, there are still choices in the game. How does that work? Just curious before going further...

You're locked in if you're on the Share path, and pretty much locked in on the others (Cuck and Cheat), although there is some cross pollination between those two. The choices affect your progress in those stories. You can be as loving as you want (Love stat) in all paths - some peeps want to be nice, and others less so. The Respect stat is what drives the path along. It must remain high for the Share route and Low for both Cuck and Cheat routes. It determines what she thinks of you as a man. Hope this helps.
