By the way I wanted to ask you guys something. A couple of people sent me a message saying they want me to keep releasing the regular updates here since they like it. So tell me, do you guys want me to keep releasing every update I make here or only every couple of months when the game gathers around 300 renders?

Some people complain because your updates are extremely short, but they already know that so the choice is in their hands. I've never loaded consecutive updates, but I'd like to be able to decide for myself when I am ready to check out another version.

I think it is on a good start, making decision. Disappointed? Not really. Keep in mind another user by the name of Mrdots making DMD. He took a long time before any action can be apply. You can update as much as you want. Do not rush the project. I think making the first decision is a start for this project.

Save location is fucked up for some reason. Game gets saved in a folder with name dark_elegance, pretty safe to say, that this isn't supposed to happen. Especially if I look into the renpy folder and find old saves in a folder with the name wearelost. BTW, the window name shows also the name dark_elegance (see picture).

Another version is out. Since we have reached close to 300 renders since version 0.1.9 I will post the links here in three days.

300 renders - but only 4 animations according to the changelog.

4 animations and 300 images - and this takes up almost 3 GB??!

Let's see then.
You make use of PNG images, which are likely slightly compressed. But instead, you should do what others do and deliver JPEG or perhaps even webp images. The quality of your renders doesn't warrant you taking up around 2-4 MB per image.

The 4 animations are all less than three seconds, and they don't display sexual content but vomit inducing movement up a palm and across a beach. One animations shows a woman taking two steps without moving. The last shows some odd something on a a tree and could have been done as two images.

I did a test compress with near lossless PNG compression. An image of 3200 KB went down to 75.5 (!!!) KB.

The compressed version of the game is about 193 MB or 150 MB archived (I will be attaching it).

All in all, YOU NEED TO LEARN SOMETHING ABOUT GAME DEVELOPMENT AND COMPRESSION. Seriously.

What are people here for? SEX+content! some people are picky about how you get there, who does what with who, but the thing that ppl keep coming to this website for is sexy renders who have sex and look good doing it lol its not rocket science. Having a circular conversation about speed or size of updates gets you nowhere if you're not progressing the story and giving the consumer what they're looking for. Take some notes from popular games like power vacuum or beingadik they have it all with good animation, music, and humor. VISUAL novels not novels with visuals. A perfect example of what your game could be like as far as update speed would be "A family at home" but for as many updates you have put out you are nowhere close to the amount of content that game would have.

I mean... not really. There are 14 patrons, $22 per month total. Not much "theft" lol.

I do believe the dev is trying to make something here, as opposed to "milking" or whatever, they just don't seem to understand what people come here for.
They don't come for long winded inner monologues from a guy staring at empty rooms. They come for porn.

Even if you want more of an emphasis on the story, and even if your work pace is slow, it's still possible (essential even) to show something that gets the blood flowing and piques interest.
