I've tried out both We Were Just Kids and Move The Chains.
And I got very interested in the plot and characters of WWJK, and really want to see what happens next.
Meanwhile, I just couldn't get into MTC. I dunno why. Maybe it's because I have no interest in football, but I also didn't find the characters as appealing. I think the fact WWJK has two protagonists, plus a few side characters we get glimpses into, is another plus (I'm a sucker for multiple protagonist narratives). MTC has only one protagonist, and the story seems to be solely about him.
I accept that MTC is currently the money maker, but I'm still gonna be chugging the hopium that WWJK makes a comeback someday. Maybe when MTC is finished.
