Really, really hot, and probably the funnest / funniest adult game I've played. Normally not a fan of 2d art, but this is very good at what it's doing and the animations get the job done. You will be glad you played.

I love that the girls aren't all pushovers. I love that the MC is a loveable dope, without being a dick. I love that Anne the Welcome Whore is just as clueless as the MC. I LOVE the art.

The game has obviously been well plotted out, which is refreshing, and it appears we won't be getting placeholder art that's fixed up later on. Updates are complete chapters. It's just... professional.

This is one of those where I plan on playing each and every release as it happens. Everything in this game is appealing (so far, but I have faith it'll keep its quality and even improve). All I can say is, play it, not a single second of it is wasted. Also a really cool, if small, feature is that the dirty talk (of which there is plenty) during sex scenes will change depending on the speed of action. I think it really goes to show how much effort is going into this project.

To make it short, for me this is the best lewd game I've ever played (and I've tried a lot). I have never played a game that has so much attention to detail. You can tell right away that the developer has a vision and is implementing it perfectly. This game is the next level in porn games.

I'm very impressed by this game. The art is beautiful and the game is very polished and well written. I appreciate the built in help system which says when all content for a character has been seen.

There are lots of little bits here and there that I found interesting. The gypsy has a secret, what could it be? What is the deal with that sheep that has a camera? How did they manage to make a filthy, drunken, one eyed knife ear attractive? Is the pixie the cutest character ever created?

I encourage everyone to give this game a look.

The Best 2D game so far! I found no bugs. The art and especially the animation are just awesome, and well done - not many artists are on the same level. Story also fits in very well. Looking forward to the next release...

First of all, hand drawn art is perfect. But it is not the only thing about the art. 0.2 means that the game is actually at a pretty early stage but every single detail is beautifully designed and *animated*... even though there is no voice act, which is pretty normal, mouth and face animations are constantly changing. That's something you can't see in many games. Also it makes you connect with the characters.

Story is simple but elegant, it takes you into and makes you feel like the MC. When you add the previous things I told you, that makes the game very immersive and overall; great.

I do think it is going to be one of the best games on F95Zone and will turn out very beautiful. I definitely recommend you playing it even before further releases.

Funny and interesting ideas, while also being quite good to fap to. The art is amazing and the potential limitless, I can't wait for the next update. The sex scenes could be longer with more text and more variations though, it is almost a shame that they are over so quickly.

It also seems from the main overview (map) that a long term roadmap has been thought out also. Which is a good indicator for future builds.

The reading is fucking worth it. You gonna laugh often.
Exceptional art with dynamic facial expressions.
Well developed personalities reinforced by good writing.
Good code, zero issues.
Good amount of content.

Cons:
2h of content for a 0.2v sugests that the game will be very long. Need to see how fast it will get updated.
Sometimes the "think" mechanic can get repetitive. Overall, still a good way to explore MC's personality.

The game remembers Innocent Witches, but won't give you blue balls.

Art, animations and gameplay are fantastic - the fantasy/medieval era setting suits it to a tee -

The quests are fun and are structured well - the UI is fantastic and the color pallete is vibrant.

So far the only issues I've personally had are just simple navigational issues involving button placements for more visibility/convenience as well as maybe some more additional buttons that allow shortcut actions i.e. quick travel to someones house without having to go through the map unless neccessary.

Overall brilliant game, looking forward to see where this one goes.

Played v0.2. Great art! I mean, great art for the backgrounds, maps, items, everything... but especially the HOT women. Amazing. And a bunch of little side quests and challenges, looks like a fun over-all story line might be developing. Early days, but this may be a new favourite. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I thought I will not like this game.
It is amahhhzing!! Seriously, the art grows on you I preferred Renpy games with more 3D renders, but this surprise dme really positively.

The story is stereotypical with some great variations. Lets be honest we are not here for the next Tolkien, but it is a good enough first DM D&D material

The UI is great, tips and hints are sufficient, all cool in my book.

Man this game probably the best fantasy 2dcg I ever played, like the map and the graphics (everything is fresh and full hd, even for some random locations) everything is awesome. Also the girls are really hot and not overthicc(I mean boobs or ass size are not XXXXXXXXXXL)
Seriously the only thing which I don't like is that the game is in early development stage, and instead of letting me spank an elf princess, I can only spank a tree. Like dude wtf
Although I am pretty stingy with my money, I think its time to become a patron, I don't want this game to be abandoned

A masterpiece! I think that was already obvious from the previous reviews.

+ The artstyle and renders are awesome - The amount of detailing in the renders is just .... wow!
+ Being a fan of fantasy stories, the plot of the game is nice, even the game is still in early development!
+ Beautiful and different girls (Maple )
+ Good quality animations
+ In-built gallery and hint system

- Nothing I can think of except that the fact that the game is still early in development

For context, I reviewed What A Legend v0.1 some time ago and gave it four stars out of five on the grounds that while the game did have a lot of strengths it was far from perfect.

So the main selling point of WaL is the visual side of things. You can see the screenshots for yourselves. Rest assured that the game is animated nicely as well, and not only when it comes to sex scenes. A lot of game screens have some animated elements that really liven up the overall feel. Character design is also very well done. Where a lot of games limit expressions to facial features on a static doll, WaL actually does full body movement ans some animation loops, which is really good for character expressions. And, get it, moving elf ears! Like do you even know how rare is it... ahem. Anyway, moving on.

The writing is solid. It's more on the lighthearted side of things, with a lot of jokes and visual gags sprinkled around. When it comes to the meat of the plot the game doesn't drown you in boring infodumps, a very common sin nowadays. Basically, a princess shows up, gives an epic quest, doesn't take no for an answer, and then gives a magical kick in the butt to provide the MC some good initial velocity. All that? Done in maybe a couple dozen short dialogue lines. Speaking of the main character, he's kinda a lovable idiot. We do have an abundance of sex-obsessed reprehensible idiots as protagonists, it's the good-natured goofiness that is actually rare (and obsession with sex is a necessity, duh). So, good job here as well.

Sex scenes is where 0.1 had failed pretty hard; one could say that there was no writing there at all—unless you count a collection of onomatopoeias as writing. Rejoice, for v0.2 has fixed this problem, and it's important to emphasize that 0.1 scenes have been re-written alongside with some non-sexual dialogues. The dev's willingness to go back and perfect some 'old' content is exemplary. Well, I hope that trend continues because there is always room for improvement.

There are however some fundamental problems that are harder to address in a single release. The game attempts to create a world of an epic scale, as well as dip its toes in more mechanically advanced gameplay than mere linear point and click adventure. And with only two people working on it, I can't see it happening any time soon. If the devs don't keep addition of new characters in check, it could be years before we have a single character arc complete. Alternatively, the game may stop introducing new characters at some point in the near future but that would mean the majority of the world that would become accessible thereafter will feel bland and lifeless without female population. Now, this isn't necessarily a flaw of the game in general, but more of a flaw of the game as it is right now; and I'm a firm believer in rating things in the present and ignoring any "potential".

The most important conclusion about What A Legend v0.2 is that it has actual improvements in areas where v0.1 was most lacking. This means the dev does listen to constructive criticism. And it means that if you're not providing any, you're making a disservice to the game and the community.

And yeah, let's tentatively give it 5 stars this time, because improvements. There's a huge asterisk to that, though. The game is quite short, and one would have a greater experience playing a more mature future version rather than consuming it piecemeal after each update. YMMV, of course.
