Well, it is possible that the 'moms' might show back up, if nothing else, they were about to all fuck him for his 18th birthday, but then he would have lost all of his motivation to go on his adventure.
That said, I don't know if we will ever find out who his real parents are, though that could be part of the main story at some point.
I believe MagicNuts said they might do that (MC getting an orgy with his moms) as part of the epilogue. Personally I doubt it happens.

That is what I thought too, that they had hinted at it, but yeah, we will see.

Weekly report 140
Hi, everyone.
I'm writing this report with my phone so apologies if the formatting is a bit off. Here's a summary of our work last week:

Chestnut:
She focused on cutscenes, starting a new one from the first quest and although I haven't updated the daily progress tracker, she has completed two more tasks related to the same cutscene (I'll update the tracker once I'm back at my PC)

Pistachio:
I spent the first few days of the week editing the text and posing scenes. On Wednesday I had an appointment for a surgery and I left ICU today. I first thought I'd be able to work from the hospital bed, but given my condition that's unfortunately not possible.

What's next?
Chestnut is going to continue to work on cutscenes.
I will hopefully be discharged soon, and I'll get back to posing scenes (and updating the progress tracker) as soon as I can.

That's all.
Have a great weekend
Cheers

This is giving me a great idea: unlockable "bad ending" scenes with New Game Pus. Lots of other games have done this as a way to add interesting content, flesh out the story world, or insert some tonally mismatching content. Examples would include Crono Trigger and FFXIII-2.

Basically after you beat the game, you can launch a NG+ with some new plot options. This would be a way for MagicNuts to put in silly or experimental things that might contradict the tone of the "main story" - no one who hasn't finished the main story will see them.

In specific, the prologue would have an added dialogue option where Lassie could choose to be patient and keep living at the whorehouse rather than strike out into the world. If the player chooses this, he gets the birthday orgy with his "moms" - but the Big Bad Guy winds up conquering the world, because Lassie didn't go on an adventure to stop him! (I guess because of the anti-NTR extremists we can't show an actual CG of the BBG fucking Princess Serena, but it could be implied). Then there's a "retry" button that takes you back to the "wrong" decision branching point.

Later on they could include other "bad ending" scenes at various branching plot points, to try out different endings or just crack a joke. Each would end with a button taking you back to the "mistake" so you could proceed with the "correct" plot. Maybe have the "bad ending" options be colored red in the menu so you can't miss them. I add these suggestions because I know MagicNuts aren't interested in making a game where you can "lose" and face a game-over screen, so putting these bad endings in NG+ only and making them closed loops that return you to the correct decision would eliminate any chance of player frustration.

Obviously I know this would be a lot of extra work and I'm just shooting off my mouth here. But maybe if they wanted to add other content or just play around in this world after it's "finished", this is a way they could do that without having to unravel any threads already woven in.

It's a nice idea, when they finished. But highly unlikely, because they already have bad options, and if you select them, somehow they turn it to right.

They could have at the start add an option where you say if you want bad endings or just have fun. If you add them after you have finished, than a lot of people start complaining about save games again.

I guess you're right. Mostly I just wish the game were less linear and a bit more sand-boxy. I know they're only two people, though, and if they try to add a ton of new systems to the game it'll turn into Summertime Saga and get lost in development hell. I'm glad they focus on plot.

One thing I am still really fascinated by is the statues of magical girls in the mansion basement... We've seen a demon girl and a pixie girl, but so far no angels or mermaids. Can't wait to see Lassie bed one of those!

If you go to the big map, you see that there are a lot of other places, I would guess it's possible, at least a mermaid would be an interesting item, they could even add an underwater city, that you cannot see on the map at the moment.

I tried summertime saga, and no, it doesn't interest me the least to play it. I'm not sure if it's the ugly graphics or the cow-tits everywhere, or just too much useless text to read. I think WAL is not that linear, you can do multiple girls in any order you want, or at the same time. I never had that pixie problem, they were talking about. But then yes summertime saga has at least a mermaid or something similar with tentacles under water.

We will see, they still have a long way (Read multiple years) to finish the story ahead of them. Lets hope they don't abandon the game, like so many who went before them...

I'm really looking forward to Floa Town (angel babes!!) and whatever the "holiday island" turns out to be. And we haven't even seen the New Capital yet! I love that MN have left themselves tons of room to grow, though I still worry this project will take them a lifetime to complete.

I have a lot of the same complaints. One thing I like about STS is it's not a "trainer" game and the main character is a good kid, like Lassie in WAL. But both games lack diversity in the women characters (only one boob size: biggerer!), and I really dislike STS's awkward attempts to shoehorn IRL politics into the storyline. It feels like one of those gross Russian made games where you'll be in the middle of a plot cutscene and the main character goes off on some cringey incel rant. I also can't stand the "grind your pizza route for cash" aspect; WAL's infinite gold bag is such a delightful thumbing of the nose at that whole boring trope. Games that make you pay for fun by spending time being bored suck.

I do love the sandbox aspect of STS though, and the way that locations unlock early and you can visit them even if you can't necessarily complete them yet, and there's a certain degree of out of order sequencing available. Personally I'm hoping that as WAL develops we will see more of a "hub and spokes" quest design - ie., you unlock a new major city (Old Capitol, New Capitol, ???) and that unlocks that city map as well as some nearby areas / villages, and sidequests that all sort of tie in to that city's core quest, but can be completed before or after advancing the main plot in that city. There's no point in this sort of layout yet though because WAL simply doesn't have enough content yet to justify it. It would be a great way to reorganize things later on though, to avoid too much of an on-rails feeling to the gameplay.

But then yes summertime saga has at least a mermaid or something similar with tentacles under water.
The mermaid girl is legit the cutest in all of STS, but given such short shrift. There's literally like two dialogues and a brief CG scene, after a huge sidequest that takes a ton of effort to complete (comparative to other girls). Anticlimactic. I have a suspicion that DC built the hints for the secret quest early on without having a payoff in mind, and fans yelled at him until he finally whipped up the mermaid cave really quick just to shut them up.

P.S. I feel like I was being pretty harsh on STS so I should add for balance, that the game deserves massive props for including a canonical transgirl who is 1. dateable, 2. cute af, and 3. treated by the main character and others with full respect as a girl even though she's non-op. Absolutely unexpected to see something that wholesome from someone like DarkCookie. (and MagicNuts could feel free to consider whether trans themes might also play a role in WAL... if not futa, we could explore magical sex changes! What better way to fuck Waldo could there be than to fuck WaldA? ;) )

They might, if they keep up with 2-3 updates every year, it's fine by me. There seems to be still a lot the do, until you get like a 1000 different special powers. He only got a few now.

Now I'm interested, but the big tits were too much. There is this other game, where there is a boy, with 2 sisters, and parents, and the boy fucks around, and is in the cloud telling some angel girl about his life. That's also full with cust incel rants. Doesn't have to be russia, lots of people see the curret western media for fake news.

Yeh she sure was cute af, I saw it on a walkthrough of pornhub (It thought it was )

Please no trans, that's only our fucked up modern world. This game is playing in the past. So Futa of magical sex changes would be interesting. I don't see it in their lists of planned. Well we will get something with Furries, and some BDSM like in the future, at least that's planned.

For that magical sex change, you could better look at Lunar's Chosen. But to be honest, they did it a little bit too much to my taste, it seems there are more girls with dicks then without, in the beginning it was really fun.

Weekly report 141
Hi, everybody!

First of all, thank you to all of you who left comments on our last report or sent us messages on Discord expressing your support and encouragement. It was a tough week, but it's over. I'm back home --was discharged on Monday-- and am recovering rapidly -- just have to get used to crutches again and help Chestnut with the kids as much as possible. Here's a summary of our work:

Chestnut
She finished two smaller cutscenes, starting from her storyboard designs and completing the whole thing, including hand/face variations (something she usually does in the later stages of development). They look great, and I can't wait to add them to the game. Today she started designing a new cutscene, but it's not yet finished, and it's what she'll work on tomorrow and early next week.

Pistachio
I posed scenes from Gomira's first quest, including what I had mentioned in the earlier report involving a special set of sprites (it turns out it wasn't needed, but Chestnut had to arrange specific placement of them in a scene).

Next week's plan
Chestnut will continue to work on cutscenes, finishing as many of the smaller ones as possible.
I need to both add the completed artwork to the game and finish a series of events that have been a lot more complicated than I thought they would be and move on to the next event.

That's all, and I hope you have a great weekend.
Cheers
