Say what you want 1% in one week is definetely more faster than their recent progress speed, we will leave it at a welcome coincidence.

Just a reminder thar 1 year have 52 weeks so 100% means almost 2 years and with still 3.5% away from total what translates to more 3.5 weeks the update will not release before the end of the month so exactly like what the devs said at some point.

I don't comprehend why people desire someone's failure. Receiving an abandoned tag, I believe it's just part of it.

Hm, yeah. The game is supercute but the scenes are definitely its weakpoint and feel kinda incomplete and unsatisfying.
Kinda like having sex with a pretty girl that cant fuck...

On the other hand, long time ago i had sex with a 4 out of ten girl and i couldn´t believe the skills and moves of this girl, didn´t look at all like it, would have made a pornstar blush from envy , my eyes were like this..... Are you paying attention at all? I said that a lot of these drawings aren't sprites that are pre drawn. Look at the drawing I just posted. Look at the shadows and the brush strokes. That isn't a sprite superimposed on a premade background it is a drawing with everything done in one photo. A lot of the images in What A Legend are like this.

What this dude said and people like him are that all this shit was done years ago and it is easy to make an update in two years. What I'm saying is a lot of this shit isn't premade sprites it is literal drawings with backgrounds and foregrounds unique to each photo.

It was a fun but short game way back when I tried and it seems that it is not much different.
Website shows "96%" towards next update release and yet the hard parts are 70-90%. I'm sorry that dev work takes a long time, but I feel the abandoned tag is 100% deserved until they ship an update. And I know, pirate complaining, but at least we care enough to complain instead of forgetting about the game. If they release a complete game I'm fine paying for it, but I don't do patreon dev support for a game seemingly in development hell (on purpose or not)

And we’re talking individual sex scenes, which should be taking up most of the time, most of the game is sprites that have already been drawn long ago, standing over a background that likely has been drawn long ago as well, with a textbox below, that is it.

Like I've been saying, the real culprit here is bloat. Its not just shit luck on the devs part. Its not just the time consuming nature of 2d art and animation. Nope, its just bloat. The longer time drags on, the more they feel the pressure to deliver and the more they feel that pressure, the more they add and the more they add the longer it takes. Its a constant need to hit a home run, when really at this point they should just hit a nice high quality bunt and call it a day. Just a really good short, but sweet update featuring a hot orc chick. Thats all this update ever needed to be. Instead, we're getting like porn Lawrence of Arabia or some shit. All love to the devs though, they're genuinely good people, just slow, meticulous, and their storytelling lacks brevity.

But it's not the same content as previous updates. According to dev's word (the only source we can get until the update is out) this quest amounts as many as 1/3 of the total content released so far, in terms of wordcount. Even if he ends up trimming those dialogue lines to make it shorter than it currently is, the art task count is still way larger than any other update, and being an update focused on Gomira it means that new backgrounds and sprites need to be created from scratch, since we'll visit some new parts of the map and she has never been displayed as a sprite (her only scene so far was a cutscene made of different original drawings, while Rose or Holly or Myrtle had their sprites ready for the very first update). So in this particular case, there was exactly 0 premade assets to start working with.

So we are talking they need to made about a third of what they did in about 3.5 years (the time passed between they started working on the project - a bit more than a year before the first release in May 2020 - and the 0.6 update in July 2022), then take into account they had a baby and a serious surgery which would have meant 6 months of paid leaves for both devs and there you have it: we are basically on time according to their track record.

They're not milking if that is what you are suggesting. They stand to make far more money actually releasing the game than they do milking its development. They're actually probably losing money on it at this point. One thing I learned from my years as a patron is that these two are perfectionists, who revel in the creative process to a fault. Also, side note, no need to be vague. If you've got something to say just come out and say it.
