This is very unfortunate. This was one of the best games out there. I loved the illustration, I loved the comedy. Everything is manually drawn which is so much effort compared to the 3D porn games with slightly modified generic models, so I appreciated it so much. The update progress have been 99.8% since 3 months ago. It could've been a huge game.
That would be too sensible for these folks.

It could have. But what's the incentive to keep going when you can prioritize whatever is distracting you at home while still getting paid and all you have to do is wiggle the bait a bit by posting updates. /shrug. Meanwhile those that cope continue to believe that throwing money is the solution.
What a Legend was/is a great game and the delay is indeed unfortunate BUT since I'm not losing any money over it why complain? Funnily this game caught my eye because Tlaero recommended it and she and Mortze are kinda the opposite of Magicnuts when it comes to the speed of their updates.
Still, I'm still going to download the next update here at f95 when/if it comes out and I'm not even excited about the green orc lady.

This is the most realistic take on here. Do I care the update isn't out? No, im not a patreon member. If I was I would be pissed. But im on here so I don't care. But the big question of, "it's been 2 years for this one update for a renpy game, how??" That is genuinely a good question. And the devs will never answer.....
Not really entitled when "3 months for an update" is the deadline these lazy fucks announced from the get-go. I get life happens and no plan survives contact with the enemy, as they say, but 2 years for a minor update is either an insane amount of greed/laziness or an insane amount of incompetence. Too bad watching devs fumble this hard, as this game is astoundingly high-quality in terms of production and art.

Actually, the devs have been answering that question constantly (last time, yesterday on their weekly report for patrons and also free on their discord). Now, if people don't believe what they say because 'it's a renpy game btw', that's a different issue...

That's right it's not me so I don't care, it's not me that even after 2+ years without an update still chooses to support them, it's not me that after learning of the decision to remade a big chunk of the update still continued to support them, it's not me that even seeing every day that the progress they made looks really low and insignificant still by my own decision, supports them.
No I don't feel sorry for someone that burns their own money for a promise of getting a treasure later.
No I don't feel sorry for someone that even with so many things screaming in their ears "Man, I think this is a Scam" still decides to not hear them and support them anyway.
And even if they were that ingenious and/or innocent and never expect that such a thing could happen at least they would learn a very valuable lesson that is much more important and useful in the future than my "sorry for them".

I came back from touching grass and didn't expect to know that this game was abandoned lol
I'm just disappointed that a good quality product became a scam, but i can't talk for everyone here
