i meant for the future when new updates arriveThe previous version is still available to download, just save it somewhere and use it as you want.
I can understand the feeling, specialty when those changes were not what the devs wanted but having the trouble to change that for ever update in the future sounds pointless, just like those edit works that swap the original material to "blacked/bleached" versions. It is what is, the important is to "preserve" the original before the changes and keep it "safe and available" for future generations and fans, makings non-official changes doesn't feel the same.i meant for the future when new updates arrive
not really a big deal since im already well into the game though
i just dislike the dumb changes patreon forced lol
That's pretty gay!Patreon does not care about blood status.
Your legal guardian is your parent, whether that person is blood related or not is irrelevant.
You got adopted by a whore, therefore she is your mother according to patreon incest rules
Absolutely, having only a single version of the script and art keeps things easier to manage. Unfortunately, it's not only that. Patreon has already proven in the past that the easiest workarounds to allow incest-related themes in games (e.g. providing a simple script to enable specific options or dialogue, allowing the player to rename the relationships) are not enough to guarantee an exemption to their rules - if it's in the script, you're out. Some authors already burnt themselves, and now nobody is willing to push the boundaries, which is understandable. For comparison, just read the ridiculous Patreon rules about consent:Like I said before the devs could had just left the game as it was on their website, but they changed it too, maybe to less the work and possible inconsistencies if they had to work in both version every time.
Patreon is obviously going the extra mile to preserve their bottomline, and authors are caught in the crossfire; so, in turn, they do the same. It's unfair and undeserved, but when money is involved, matters of principle are the first to get silenced.Patreon said:It is paramount that Adult/18+ creators demonstrate consent in all works (real or animated; photo, video, written, audio) between adult participants or characters; specifically, a freely given, specific, informed and unambiguous indication of consent by a statement or by a clear affirmative action. Additionally, participants and characters must be able to give consent (i.e. not be under the influence of alcohol, drugs, hypnosis, blackmail). "Consensual non-consent" works, in which participants or characters engage in simulated non-consensual encounters, are not permitted. Accompanying a work that features a non-consensual encounter with a statement claiming that the encounter was consensual is a violation of Patreon guidelines.
Damn, they don't even permit CNC. That is just crazy. I wish payment processors, middlemen, etc didn't go crazy over NSFW shit.Absolutely, having only a single version of the script and art keeps things easier to manage. While I fundamentally agree that this is a funny porn game so it doesn't really matter, this comment reads like a "it's fantasy, anything goes" verisimilitude vs realism argument. Reminds me of this meme:A fictional MC having an orgy with his whore moms in the same world where Orcs exist I refuse to compare that to real life
Man I am so want to learn how they find bugs. Are they just replaying the update every day?
You can check the FAQ in the original post to have an idea how the development process and what some of the phases of the progress tracker work/mean for these devs specifically.Man I am so want to learn how they find bugs. Are they just replaying the update every day?
renpy is not the problem. Doing it in any other language/toolkit/framework isn't going to solve those small bugs. And they seem to be just playing it everyday, must get sick of it one day...Still finding new bugs!?
A renpy game BTW!
You should teach that to the absurd amount of kiddies here. They might learn something useful for once.I'm willing to bet that the update won't be released this year. I remember being angry too.Don't give a fuck now.
Xupuzulla is trolling about the amount of bugs emerging. He isn't pointing renpy as a problem but as an aggravating circunstance. The argument is that you can't find so many *2-days-of-work-bugs* while coding in renpy without having butter fingers or chronical bullshiting habits.renpy is not the problem. Well you give a suggestion, who says devs don't have butter fingers and chronical bullshiting habits....Xupuzulla is trolling about the amount of bugs emerging. The type of bug matters too. I bet most of the remaining bugs are "scene X does not run l, because we have not made scene X yet".Xupuzulla is trolling about the amount of bugs emerging.
