Since the release is slowly inching near, and as soon as the game is posted here a deluge of comments will inevitably follow, I've tried engaging in a thought experiment, named "it's easy being Cassandra". Here are some templates for the posts, feel free to reword them or paste them into ChatGPT to reduce redundancy:
  • That's it? We've waited ten years for this? It's not funny
  • I knew it, it's just 30 minutes of scrolling through text for a couple of animations
  • Wasted time / potential / quality drop, such a shame
  • My nephews will still not be able to play the finished game in their lifetime
  • I hate this ugly orc / Celestina
  • Main quest is still on hold
  • No gameplay
  • Ren'py BTW!
  • People paid for this
  • Nuts are scammers / hack-fraudsters, we have to denounce them, why does nobody think of the customers?

Here's mine. I'm not sure if it will work on your end due to this Ren'Py feature that tries to protect users from malicious code, but you can try it anyway. Just download it to your saves folder and look for it on page 3 in the load menu.

That's a bad idea for many reasons. Summertime Saga got an update almost immediately as soon as it got the tag. The causation was obvious even if the stans denied it. There are also some other examples just like it.

Most notable the devs of this game popped up in this channel soon after it got the tag. It has had at least a minor effect on them too.
I would not be surprised if they didn't actually do much work before the tag judging by the clearly cooked progress reports we have been getting.
