Not yet, but at the rate this game gets updated, it is inevitable that it will never be completed...

That's what I get from all this. He would just use the upgraded equipment to try and push more and more out of them trying to better his work. So I don't believe you would get faster updates because he would be trying to add more to his story like a more immersive environment. I just hope we get something this year as we have a long way to go before we catch up to the old version.

I have not read everything but if we are going to compare Philli and DPC, Do you want to know why in some cases Ocean surpasses them in quality despite having inferior gear to them ? it is not because Philli and DPC do not have the skills that Ocean has, on the contrary they do and they have showed it multiple times with some of their scenes and games.
The difference is they want consistency with their releases be it every 3 - 4 months. They don't exactly sacrifice quality, they just add the right required amount needed and tot make sure they have plenty of content to release CONSISTANTLY, Ocean is a perfectionist and I have zero doubts that he has thrown out many renders that have been made but because of a minor unnoticed blemish or smudge somewhere off in the background he deletes it and remakes it which in turn takes more time.
Ocean could have had pretty much a bigger following and income on patreon of he just released more consistently,
I have said it MANY times before and someone else just said it a few posts above me too, Ocean getting better and higher end new gear does NOT mean faster update, him having 2 or 3 computers does NOT mean faster updates, This has NEVER been the case with Ocean, instead it always meant SLOWER updates as he would push everything too the limit and sees an opportunity to try new things, while that is all great and am happy for people to experiment and grow their talent in the case of Ocean I personally constantly dread it. Also again him having posted the update in SG which I do not frequent because I legit do not care about that game but seems to post a update over there and on his patreon for WiAB all updates are also pointing out to SG related stuff... We at the WiAB want updates related to WiAB not SG, while it is nice to know about his limitations he is clearly also choosing to avoid saying fuck all over here which is frustrating me even more, because it seems like he just does not give a fuck about WiAB anymore and is trying to keep us on a leash, because if he just outright said " guys I am not going to work on WiAB anytime soon and will be only working on SG DESPITE me saying and promising other wise...etc etc etc " it would mean instant bye bye to that support from the WiAB side that is a fact and if anyone actually things that all the WiAB patreons would jump ship to SG so the 1k would suddenly go over to SG would be delusional because most of the WiAB does not care for SG. Not saying because we do not care that he should stop with SG no but we do want transparency. And he is not giving any.
However working on SG would probably maybe give him more patreons on that side if he starts to give consistent updates as people will notice hey he releases something every 3 - 4 months so eventually he gets more. That would work, but again just come outright and say it so I know if I should bother coming here or not.

Realistically what’s probably gonna happen is that we’ll get another brief Dev Log at the end of August/start of September. If nothing else to keep the Patreon on life support and to keep this thread from getting tagged as abandoned again.
Best case scenario after that is, update drops maybe at the end of October. Worst case scenario, we get a brief dev log with maybe a render, followed another two-ish months of radio silence before another Patreon post and the cycle continues.

A lot of people in this thread are terrible pessimistic. Just believe in maintaining the Ocean, it's wide, beautiful, life-giving and full of trash!

No idea. But I don't think it will take more than 3 month in my opinion cause Ocean just gonna continue from where he left 3 month ago. Just my opinion not from Ocean

Wait, so the 6th episode is being remade to? Damn, this is going to be a whole different game it seems.
The whole game is being reworked. Cause WIAB is the first game he has ever made. So now he's better so he decided to rework it so it matches his style and vision now. So you will have to delete the old version when he releases chap.1 rework. But you can keep it if you like

I'm aware, but up until now the official word, as far as I remember, was that only the first 5 chapters are going to be fully remade, so the fact that the 6th one is going to be changed as well is news to me.

If I recall correctly, the sixth chapter needed to be changed not so much for a visual enhancement but because the relationship system has changed.
Don't know about the 6th because it's the closest to Ocean's style. May be it will be changed the least but until then we just have to wait and play

Yeah, I mean I was expecting smaller changes, but it seems like it's going to be another full remake of the episode. It wasn't even that long of an episode, I don't even remember what exactly happened in it. They came back from the trip, there was some stuff with Katie, the preparation for the trial with Dana, the date with the sister, whose name I totally forgot and I think that's pretty much it.

Ocean stated that he's not happy with the quality and story of WIAB, so yes, we're expecting full chapter reworks.
