That is one of the big "plothole" - the assets used in both games does not lend to an approximately 20 years between the 2 games. But if you ignore that, then it's all fine.

It doesn't mean they're born from incest. Incest is pretty rare because family members that grow up together or watch each other grow up are naturally sexually repulsive towards each other. There's a reason that mammals in the wild instinctively search for non-related partners. The reason people like *watching* incest is because it's just that. They're watching two strangers break a taboo, so it excites them. They're not self-inserting into a romantic relationship between themselves and the person they view as their mom. If you think incest is normal as opposed to taboo, then that's weird.

Keeping in mind that this is very different from the original game, this remake gets you to your old family/friend's house. There is a little content there, but not much.

meh. There's more content leading up to that point now. You get a better feeling about the relationship between Miru and MC, as well as a new character being introduced. It's really very different from the game you originally played.

If the cousins don't have phenotypes that resemble each other's parents and they didn't grow up together then the "instinctive incestual repulsion" would probably be relatively weak for them. Whether or not they have sex with their cousin would then depend on their opinion of cousin-incest and whether they think approaching and then having sex with that person are worth potentially ruining their lives over. I bet not more than 4% of people who live in developed countries have had sex with their cousin.
