Wow the story really got fucked up sideways...I came back to this after the initial rework and its a mess.It makes not sense at all with all these no we no related shit and mob crap.Hell i popped the old version and was thinking why the hell Ocean abandoned the original story which it was actually very good.Now i understand all the new low ratings.Ocean always had amazing renders but nowdays thats the only thing he has going on.7 years in the making and still no advancement or story goal.Such a shame..
We are at the precipice of the rise of Landlady's and female best friends.
Maybe this will make Dev's focus on Netori content instead.

I was more or less referring to other games.
This change is going to be a shit show though for real.
Entire storylines and thousands of lines of dialogues & code will have to be changed over the coming weeks.

Well that problem exists because Ocean wants to keep his cake and still eat it!
He obviously wants to retain Kati, Leia, Helen as LIs, but that is only possible in a logical fashion if incest is also retained.
The rewrite he did is horrible trash and anybody with even a single functioning braincell can see this.
If he wants to retain a logical and fitting backstory he has to swallow the (for him) bitter pill and sacrifice the female Zane family members as LIs.
And it is not that we loose so much. We still have an array of nice LIs: Miru, Zoey, Dana, Monika, Gina, Daphne and these are only the most important ones.

As I wrote earlier, the incest theme doesn't bother me at all, it just took the logic out of the game, in order to return this logic to the new plot, in my opinion, it was necessary to make Willie the biological son and not Katie, Katie and Leah adopted from the "noble families" left alive, for marriage unions with other families. Willie got into any of their pants, and disrupted the plans of large families, ran away, returned and immediately went to court. The Zane family was humiliated in the mafia hierarchy, the family falls apart as in the plot before the remake. That's where you can build a bridge between Zane and Grimaldi-Pepperoni.

They'd still be step-family, which is also in the crosshairs. You'll never convince me that a child, raised by a parental figure from an infant to an adult, would not be considered part of a family. Which is why I believe SG is also going to be changed... again.
The only way to make it work is if they are taken in much later than infants, or have William raised by someone other than the Zanes.
While a definite idea, I admit that I do not even want a bridge built between old backstory and new wannabe backstory!
The Mafia trash of the new update has to be taken out to the box like with all rubbish!

Don't be stupid. "Payment Processors" are not the government, nor is it "regulation." This is third party companies, and is the same reason Patreon changed their rules.
They might as well be the government, if they can fuck with your funds there's not much difference.

With this I simply justify my future stage of "acceptance" and since we dove into this shit with the mafia, it would make the plot less leaky and a little logical, if for example it was presented in such a way that they did not know until some time that they were adopted or they were revealed that they were adopted and their fate was indicated in an arranged marriage. Thousands of logical variations of the plot, but we have what we have, the ocean is not a writer, the ocean is a graphomaniac.

damn...only two weeks later and this aged badly. Thoughts on the new Steam guidelines and incest games on it moving forward? Was Ocean right all along? This does feel like a watershed moment, and not for the better.

How are they "fucking with your funds?" They can't touch people's money, except for taking their cut for providing their service. They are private (well, publicly owned) companies that have the right to do business with whom they want, as long as it's legal. They don't want to do business with companies that put them at risk.
