The tricky part is how Patreon will view the linked worlds and history. They are not ... cautious ... about nuking shit, and they don't have a good appeal process.

So far they only take projects as is. If they take a look at SG I doubt they will connect it with an off platform project unless if the same guy who looks at SG is the one who saw WIAB. If not then Katie Zane? Just another SG character.

The Patreon rules say very vaguely "no incestuous relationships", i.e. the mere fact of a possible incestuous relationship may be punishable, without the need to show sexual acts between related persons (including all forms, blood, adoption, etc.).
That is, the mere existence of the Zanes in SG can be dangerous as long as the Zanes have some incestuous relationship in WIAB.

but I still say there is no need to change WIAB at all since all you have to do to protect SG is not mention the sexual relations between the Zanes in SG.

Unless they tie SG to WIAB, meaning the same guy looking at SG looked at WIAB I doubt a connection would be made.

Or if Ocean on the Patreon SG install has a banner that says "Play my other game". In that case yeah WIAB relations will be a problem.

Katie doesn't make a whole lot of sense as anything other than a sister. It takes a lot of relationship to earn that much resentment and hate... I am eager to try the new Steam version when it's out.

Actually a foster or step sibling would have potentially more of the love/hate rivalry. If we take Willi and Leia as related (prior THE redaction) with all of them foster children because Dylan's sterile but Helen wanted kids, there could EASILY be the kinds of dynamics we've already seen, with Willi and Leia ganging up on Katie, Dylan not knowing how to dad properly and setting them up in pit fights, Helen finding Willi attractive, it's a whole lot more plausible, still has the taboos, but elevates Leia and Willi's plot.

You're right. Very true.

In any case, SG is on a tightrope regardless of any WIAB ties. Patreon has been making clear more recently that they don't buy the whole "landlady roommate" thing as much as they use to since its clear the relation is of an adoptive mother and sibling. And Nami and Noji could still on their own draw fire at a whim.
No matter what Ocean is under the gun far more than what some of his detractors might think.

Patreon rules (which don't apply to this game anymore, say even long-term roomates, never mind adopted or foster siblings/parents, count as family for incest. They aren't risking their relationships with credit card companies or risking government crackdowns.
