As a staunch defender of Ocean, I just can't get passed this retcon.
He has basically shifted the entire narrative of the entire Oceanverse, changing names which have been established in both WiaB and SG. I will not be surprised if he will have to go back and rework the reworked SG to align the now altered relations.
Imagine constructing half a house, then deciding you need to change the foundation from cement to play-doh...

Already bought the second masterpiece from the author. 5 bucks you do not feel sorry for such a cool and atmospheric and story game with very beautiful characters, which the author makes and tries very hard to add his love to his game, I recommend buying it to all fans of this game!

He doesn't want to just publish this on Steam. He wants it on Patreon, on GOG, on SS...everywhere basically. And he doesn't want to risk it getting taken down or threatened in any way further down the line. Incest is gone. For good. No patch will save this.
That's one way of looking at it.
Another way would be you move into a house, realize the basement is full of all kinds of nastiness left over from the old tenant who threw weird sex parties, so you decided to demolish it and build anew.
One's reaction to this game's changes will depend on if that player sees incest themes as cement or play-doh, for me very much the latter.

That is true, the long waiting time for SG and WIAB, honestly I am intrigued with the story, but this change is something I am still trying to make sense with.
I can't imagine those who played all this prior to the reworks, and what they felt when the reworked happened. And now this.

My issue is the constant retcons. If Will and Leia were Zanes and had no sexual relation, good. Now it's just people who happened to live together.
