It's different where the game is sold as separate apps such as season 1 and 2, so SG will be hit with a new review for the new season when Ocean brings it to early access. If Ocean learns from WiaB (provide an unlocked gallery/saves, add ALL potential trigger warnings to the store page), it'll be a shorter review. It won't happen for WiaB gets to season 2 though, and has a separate page for S2.

It's moot for SG at the moment though as S2 C1 won't be on steam until a few more chapters for early access I believe.

I wasn't sure if Ocean was gonna add each chapter one at a time or wait and do it in season batches. If he does it chapter wise, then yeah, the first chapter of a 2nd season would suffer a review, but like you said, he should know the ins and outs by now.

As far as I understand, it'll be Season 2 early access, with 3 chapters, the rest to be added. Each season will be a standalone app rather than a DLC, so each season needs approval, while the added chapters don't.

I'm sure Steam reserves the right to review a game if say 100% of the upload changes, or even 30% - they wouldn't want a game to get greenlit, then the devs swap for the real game they want to release.

From the FAQ in his discord, it said WIAB total has 30 chapters. he took roughly 4 years for 4 chapters(4th releasing next week), that's 30 years(highly optimistic measure) to complete just WIAB, not even counting SG
SG, if I remember correctly, is also 5 chapters per a total of 6 seasons, again, another 30 chapters

I think two days ago Steam gave the green light but I was only able to write a post now.

I moved, and my Main Workstation plus the monitors survived my driving. I haven't connected the other PC yet, but will do so later today.

Everything seems to be working just fine. I do still have a lot of boxes to unpack, and I'll tackle this one day at a time.

Release Dates.

Just as with Summer's Gone's Steam release, it will be released on SS one week later. It's important that the initial sales are on Steam/GOG. (For the algorithm.)

It comes out on SubscribeStar one week later. (That's when the launch discount ends.)

This is a one-time thing. With the next releases, you'll get your hands on them two weeks prior with the BETA releases.

If WIAB has the success needed, the next chapter should have less than 1800 still renders (2000 maybe)... in the most pessimistic scenario, June 2026... If it doesn't have the expected success, then yes, when there will be free SG time.

I think the MM-DD-YYYY could be a USA only thing, like the imperial system nowaday.

As an IT worker and former developer to me the date is YYYY-MM-DD and the datetime is YYYY-MM-DD HH:MM:SS. Unless it's unix time, in that case it's a very big integer.

I can't help but to love a date format where chronologica, alphabetical and numerical orders are consistent with each other.

Ocean pushed his luck way too hard with infrequent updates and re-works and whatnot. I honestly hope that both SG and WIAB become success stories, since I really like both stories, and with re-works quality models, but I wouldn't be shocked if they flopped after all this time.
