to bringing chaos... Just as Leia is taught in chess, if there is paralysis, cause chaos.
I share this belive too and if that is tbe case makes sense keep him in the dark, at least for a while. Is implied that they keep a check on him so they should have a grasp on his personality.

Now what I am wondering is how much involved in Miru's life William in. Miru was keeping things from him, he has a insight but dosen't seem much deeper. Does he knows her name ? Did he work for the Yakuza ? Just how much competent of a criminal William is and could be ? Is clear that Ocean wants him to be a charismatic person, who can make friends out of enemies.

On a side note I think that even for the NTR path this update started to show gaps in the William - Miru relationship. William bringing Daphne with out Miru's knowledge, and us learning that William don't know everything about her.

Exactly what did you compare the current images with to come to that conclusion?
Because I did a comparison myself between all images that were part of the previous chapter 2 and 3 releases to those of the current chapter 4, and there's nothing that suggests your conclusion.
Unren and look in the chapter 4 folder, filename ag2620.jpg and up. There ya go ;)

As for Miru's name, we know that William found out by hacking into Miru's computer... and Miru is a geek, so William can't be very clumsy in that area.
Others areas? the fact that William hide his intelectual capabilities, shows us that he may have adapted to the criminal life by being just the muscle of the operation.

There is that whole "They expect me to act like a meathead, so I'll just pretend" bit that Will does. I'm paraphrasing but that's basically it.

Then he proceeds to actually act like a meathead.

What's wrong?
Lord have mercy.
Incest-themed stories are extremely popular and sell very good, but when you want to sell a crime drama, it's much harder. Cheap storytelling and worldbuilding won’t be forgiven so easily.

Most praise goes to the renders, but I'd like to point out a few moments where Ocean clearly underperformed, either due to lack of knowledge or limitations of Daz3d.

The game lacks space and landscape. We never see a full house with its surroundings, the farm, the police station, or the drug lab. We only catch brief glimpses of the club, and even inside, the only fully shown area is the gloryhole room.

Compare episodes where space is actually shown — the scene at the gas station where we meet Amber and others, Dana’s elevator scene, or the memory with the booth — to when we go to the farm. Nothing is shown: no caravan, no house, no farm itself, no panoramic shots. It continues with the same tight and medium character close-ups. There's some action upon finding the car, but it's insufficient. Upon returning, we don't even get to see the entire swimming pool.

All together, this creates a situation where the game critically lacks spatial depth needed for storytelling.

Due to the absence of wide shots, there's no rhythm in the episodes, everything feels sluggish and monotonous. This applies even to the intruder chase scene.

Action scenes are not given enough renders by Ocean, and there are too few of them overall, most renders are reserved for dialogue. These dialogues feel fresh only when meeting a lot of cuties. (Katie’s team and the club girls).
The club episode really needed a change of pace, and a dance between conversations would've been perfect.

One more thing. Ocean took the VIP bar layout from Pale Carnation, but it's far too bright for a nightclub setting, because the lighting looks more like an operating room. The layout should have included semi-closed zones so drunk patrons wouldn’t bother others, as happened with William in this episode (sorry Amber).

True.

Like Ocean hates his own games.
Lol yhea will be putting this and sg on hold till dev finds his balls and decides not to be a sellout to the overlords. Fell sorry for those who supported game from the start only to have it changed and in such a awful way:cry: That is my take on this as i know there are some here who will defend this shit and that is ok if they want to die on that hill or not. Everyone have a good day it is time to burn:cool:

Man, I like that Ocean gives us some eye candy sometimes to make up for the few sex scenes but some of them feels so unnatural. Like this, Leia is in the middle of a discussion with her people about the firearms and she is just sitting there, with her pubes showing and her huge badonkadonks out in the open and yet everyone just keeps talking like nothing happened. It's great to have these fanservice scenes, but this one in particular just felt so out of place for me. It would be a different story if she was talking to William just the two of them, but it's her subordinates. 1752000294195.png

Princess Leia is going to destroy the peace and quiet in Wollust by starting sell firearms. So there will be no Kumbaya. Except for that, yeah, something like that.

Although I don't understand where all the surprise comes from. Both in SG and in the old WiAB there were tons of hints that things weren't that simple with these families. And that they weren't exactly families of good Samaritans, but some kind of strange clans or semi-criminal syndicates. Now that the clarity has been brought in, suddenly the oohs and aahs have started: oh, it's the mafia, what nonsense.

William, well, he's not known for his rational thinking in any situation and cold prediction of his actions. So, the fear of punishment from the Zanes that kept him from returning was probably a bit exaggerated. Quite in line with his character. What's wrong?
Chapters 1-3 were good, it was hinting at the upcoming criminal underworld which William seemed reluctant to get involved in. It kinda led us to believe we would be helping Joe fight back against the Krayt gang (which, in turn helps Gina), only for this update to come along and say "Fuck it! Donna Leia of the Cannelloni family wants all the criminals in Wollust to gather around the firepit and sing kumbaya."

Also, William leaving for worry of what the family would do to him, yet on return he seems to think exile is the worst case scenario. :WaitWhat:

I said this before but I think the criminal underworld plot is were WIABs biggest strenght lays

Most of the big or good looking VN have thing like drama like someone brings a teddybears to college , someone has religious parents..., someone called me mean and so on .... its not very serious but they cant really do more adult or serious stuff you have to make full female college or everyone gay or dysfuntional or every other male is a clown and thats the reason why all college VN have such lame partys

But with WIAB you now have so much options with crime plot and because you have optional ntr you can tell a more serious story ...

So you can have things like gangs ,actually other people that are in a relationship, more believable worldbuilding, drugs , real partys that are not lame as fuck , kinks , REAL antagonist , real drama, real intrigues, crazy ass partys

So I am really interested how the first VN looks like that has the same/better ( subjectiv depends who you ask ) visuals than all the big good looking ones but with an actually real adult story... because if ocran does it right this can be so fuckinggg good there is not a single VN that has this visual qualitie but goes in a more serious direction.

Like deciding to start a business with Zoey. "An impulsive choice, just the way I like it."
It was a calculated decision, but Willy sucks at math XD

Zoey: "We're gonna need someone to catch everyone's attention."
Will: "What about...my girlfriend? She's got the libido of 3 women combined, is a ninja/yakuza/space wizard/gamer nerd."
Zoey: "That's brilliant!"

While I understand what you say I have two problems:

1 the criminal plot is the only thing we have now and.
2 the strong point is still the personal relationships.

While I agree this is not exclusive to Ocean but all AVNs and is most likely a result of DAZ. If you start to think space mothing makes much sense.

I'm just going to answer this. WIAB as a crime drama is commercially much more successful than it ever was as an incest game.
And I don't deny that incest games tend to attract a lot of people with open wallets.
