He obviously wants to retain Kati, Leia, Helen as LIs, but that is only possible in a logical fashion if incest is also retained.
The rewrite he did is horrible trash and anybody with even a single functioning braincell can see this.
If he wants to retain a logical and fitting backstory he has to swallow the (for him) bitter pill and sacrifice the female Zane family members as LIs.
And it is not that we loose so much. We still have an array of nice LIs: Miru, Zoey, Dana, Monika, Gina, Daphne and these are only the most important ones.

So you find it likely that Dylan's criminal family only started associating with Joe's criminal enterprises because they both married sisters, and not the other way around? I find it much more likely that the Arano family and Zane family businesses were already intertwined, and that's how they met both (probably criminal family) sisters, and they all lived dysfunctionally ever after.

After all, they would have known each other because both families are in the same territory.

To keep with food analogies, Ocean told us all this time we´ll get a "Szegediner Gulasch" with WIAB. Now suddenly with the new update not Gulasch, but a Burrito lies on the plate. And not only that, this Burrito had an expiration date so far back in time even the flies won´t touch it!
