I guess it all depends on perspective but even with this new Mafia angle I think Leia stands far above everyone else we've seen as a despicable character.
I mean let's be honest how worse could she be? She deals drugs, deals weapons and engages in prostitution. And this is only what we know for sure. There's a chance she actually made someone "disappear". And I'm sure her criminal activities are more vast and nefarious that what we know until now. She's possibly a loan shark too given the shake down we see at the bar. She is so bad that even her lowlife criminal henchmen are concerned about how far she's going. Let that sink in. Her lowlife criminal trash pals are worried that she's going too far.
Now I know that people playing these games are riddled with "porn brain disease" and that makes them more lenient but imagine for just a minute that she was a real person. In the real world. How would you feel about her?
I have no idea what's coming next in the story but to me, she's already beyond any possible redemption. Prison or morgue is what she has coming to her. Preferably the latter

You forgot to mention blackmail and bribing ...as for the make someone disappear.. It's exactly that that will make her regret it sooner or later, why??Because she ignores the fact that Feds are all over her... If we want to assume that they are real people, we have to ask ourselves how Wollust did not end up in the hands of the Triad or the Irish or why not the Russians?

In the fourth chapter, we learn that Leia has started selling weapons to some rebels in the Middle East -> she is now an international threat, possibly even a terrorism sponsor. To be fair I feel that the Zanes reactions to Leia's actions are real odd with the story shifit. Yeah, we know of Leia's criminal side but how is Helen better if for all effects she is running the entire family ? Does she is a moral mobester ? She cries after killing someone so is okay ? I am not saying that Leia is a good person, she is not, and I don't judge characters the same way I do people. I've said it before and I'll say it again. This story is at odds with itself. There are multiple contradictions between chapters 1-3 and chapter 4. That is the reason why their reactions are weird. Before chapter 4's changes we had Jabba the Mute disagreeing with Leia's actions and everything (criminal) that the family was doing. It's clear she doesn't want her family involved with Uncle Joe's business. Now the story has changed and she is insinuated to be the matriarch of the Zanes and yet, for some reason, she is still disagreeing with Leia's actions and everything (criminal) that the family is doing.
If we're talking about a criminal family with mob ties then why in the fuck do Helen and Dylan's roles and actions remain the same as they were before the Mafia crap was intoduced?!?!!?!? There is a fucking galaxy sized disconnect between the first 3 chapters and the 4th one.
But to answer your question about the vilification of Leia compared to the other characters, Leia is the only one so far that we actually see commiting the crimes and doing evil disgusting shit. Everything else is implied or hinted at instead of shown directly.
Also where did this notion that Miru killed people comes from? How did I miss that tidbit? Do we see Miru assassinating someone?? I keep seeing people mentioning Yakuza and whatnot but somehow I missed all of this in my playthroughs? I thought we didn't know shit about Miru or her family yet.

Fully agree on the first half.
No, is not show Miru killing anybody. Is for all affects a speculation on my part. But is really something out of the blue ? Miru's family and herself has criminal connections, for all the Zanes drug deals is Miru who give free tips on how to grow more and better weed, she is show being much more violent than Leia's goons, Miru's is show to be a somewhat violent person. Does the idea that she is a killer really out of character ? She dosen't bites a eye at Leia's activites or William desire to be part of the family. So while it is a extrapolation on my part I don't think is a unreasonable one.

This is the reason for me, right there.
I don't hate Leia, but she is my least favorite character, by a large margin. She also has this haughty, undeserved arrogance about her that pisses me off. Now, she might soften later on and I'll like her a little more, but this is how things are for me right now.
