This is truly a beautiful game to look at. The lighting, effects, shapes, colors, and atmosphere... The presentation is top tier. Remarkable.

The story is interesting, once you get to Chapter 4, when actual events start taking place that start to make sense.

Perhaps where the storytelling does not succeed as much is in Chapters 1 & 2, with the overall attitude of MC being unwanted, unworthy, and despised by every single character except Miru. This continues throughout the game. MC is rejected, spat upon, kicked, punched, slapped, and abused verbally by every single character.

If you are a masochist, you are gonna love this one.

The way the dev chose to alter family relationships is hap-hazard and makes everything feel... off, somehow. We are not told anything about his parents or what happened in the past until Chapter 3. Perhaps that's due to Helen and her husband originally being MC and Leia's parents in the original game... with Katie being their younger sister/cousin?

I went into the game knowing there were changes made. I hoped those changes would not be as noticeable or prevalent. They are downplayed, but constantly in the back of my head.

There are a few setups of what happened in the past that caused so many to despise MC. None have yet to properly pay off. For instance, something MC did to one girl humiliated the hell out of her. There is nuance in how things are set up, talked about, that leads me to believe it either resulted in an unwanted surprise (which was ended or let to gestate fully)... my mind going into overdrive hoping MC would meet a younger character who happened to potentially be the result of the embarrassing event. But nope. Nada.

What I enjoyed was the character drama.
What I did not enjoy was how almost all (most?) of the women have very obviously gotten breast implants. Especially MC's twin sister. Those are in no possible scenario natural. Even the areolas are artificial, looking plastic as hell. I'm fine with bigger/thicker characters and love interests. The dev certainly needs to cater to the "bigger than her head" crowd. I just wish more natural and less thick love interests existed, but that's just me.

I was also perturbed with how absolutely devoted MC is to Miru. He is surrounded by over a dozen women who flaunt themselves, tease, go full frontal, sit on him, caress and play with him, kiss him, and he refuses to do more than a "I'm never going to fuck you" and "I'll hold your ass, squeeze your tits, kiss your clit for 10 seconds, but that's just horsing around, It means nothing."

Maybe I'm just too used to these situations becoming a harem, especially with one of the first Chapter 1 options being to ask about an open relationship (harem setup) with Miru. Miru is fine with MC screwing around on her in every possible way except that singular penis-in-vaj possibility. Foreplay and tease, tempt and twerk, but no "just the tip" allowed?

My hopes are that a Harem route might be possible... But I'm not going to wait for it.

I finished version S1 Ch.4 Fix 1 with that cliffhanger. I'll wait a few more updates (a year?) to see if something interesting happens.

These two quotes are quite opposite: You don't want to play the game the way the dev made it, but you're happy for him to make it the way he wants it, but you're also worried about the relational changes and how it will impact your enjoyment? I get people want the game the way it was, but Ch5 will have a deeper rift with the past, Ch6 will widen it and so on. At some point, the mod will be the modder making an entire new script for the game, because Season 1 full will head further and further away from the thing that will cause the dev to lose their income.

As a dev yourself, you probably understand the issue of authenticity vs getting your work blacklisted. Ocean doesn't want his work blacklisted by the payment processors. It is what it is, and it's unlikely to ever return to a free market.

Open relationship and harem are not the same thing. Miru specifically notes that it's only okay if you don't have feelings. It's simply extra sex to meet both of your needs and enhance the relationship with experimentation. She forbids Daphne being an option because she knows there are feelings there, she's okay with Zoey because she can see it's just a case of horny.

THe whole existence of this is not to start a harem, but to open cheating/NTR options. You develop a case of feelings for any of the shring girls, Miru's going to cheat on you seems to be the set up. There are likely to be stable situations with sharing, but it's doubtful there will be any harem, Ocean's been against harems a long time.

At this point they have read four chapthers of the story, they know that there is no familial relations in this game but you can't argue with someone who just don't wanna see. To unlock this scene, you need to avoid having sex with her and instead increase her arousal level. That’s her reason.

I totally agree with this, I think the original idea was to have NTR, but the speed and the non-occurrence of events that Ocean had already anticipated had to happen, made the scene something out of nowhere. It would have been an even bigger hole for a so far solid path.
