Maybe not by official meaning on this site but almost 5 months if it looks like a duck, quacks like a duck and smells like a duck...
Been longer than other updates and shit gets abandoned left and right, not usually this far in. No info by dev is bad news.
Just posting this because of the abandon part being brought up.
Always check Patreon first.
If you had, you might have noticed the game being "paused" for the time being.
Even though most of the message is cut off for people who aren't patreons, it is visable that the game is currently on pause.
If other popular games would be like this one, it woulld be much happier fap/porn games world around, i have no doubt there. Three and a half years out for public, 20 updates, the story near the end, all the main girls, and dozen of side chicks, have been "tested", multiple times....
A total of 19 full updates in 36 months doesnt leave much time/space for "on hold" status in its past. There were some delays, yup, yet if you consider 90% of other similar project those few delays (few weeks) would count as a premature/early update releases, and people would cherish the devs for being that quick with their releases.
At the present moment there is probably a largest delay so far, yet the devs (Ace and Cell) are working on it actively.
Ok, enough of writing/typing, it is a time for some cold beabeer now.
The release schedule of this game is rather slow, but it's by no means on hold. The devs are working on it. On hold means that they aren't, pro tempore.

One of the Dev's isn't working on it because of health issues at the moment but the other 2 are, please enlighten yourself before making dumb assumptions.

first thing first, i like wthi, everything about it. so far they did an amazing job with frequency of the updates. i honestly hope that everything will be ok with cheeky and rest of the team, so they can successfully finish it.
the problem here is about honesty, and trust. f95 is very liberal about tagging the game as abandoned, or onhold. they practically leave it to the devs. if you have lost your only 3d artist, and you're looking for new one for months, is that a time to inform your fans that development of the game stoped (they did it, but without onhold tag). same now, when the writer and the leader of the team is hospitalized for months. what are they afraid of ? ruined reputation ? losing patrons ? imho they may lose much more by not being honest about the situation. it's not the end of the world if a game got an onhold tag.
that's all i have to say about this issue. i won't bother you any further.

I respect your opinion, and I know it is not a malicious or trolling one.
While i do agree with you regarding "on hold" and "abandoned" tags on this site, i dont think that matters much. At least, more important for the games/devs being on patreon, or similar paying platforms, should be communication there, including appropriate and on time info, paused pledges and so on.
Full stop on this topic from my side too.
Hopefully Cheeky and this game will be back soon enough, and in good health.
See you around.
Not what anyone wants to hear, but life happens unfortunately. I know some won't believe that and I don't plan on engaging with them. But if anyone has a legitimate question about the update that can help the wait that isn't too spoilerific I'll be happy to answer them if I can.
