Umm, your position assumes that all choices lead to a harem route result. Including a harem route to allow players to experience more of the story and art of the developer in a playthrough doesn't preclude other choices. Not sure how you equate including of something equals the exclusion of all other things. There is no logic to such a position. Your position also assumes that everyone given an option to go the harem route will do so. Which doesn't seem grounded in anything at all, as many people don't like harem content based on the numerous NTR vs harem debates on the site. Hell I've read people say they dislike both harem and NTR?
I really don't care if the dev includes harem or not, Just make the story make sense. I just remember a game [Can't remember the name and i don't know if it is even on this site] I stopped playing that had the a four way relationship going that the women in the situation proposed the arrangement and the story (I'm bit fuzzy on the details as its been a while) was such that both the protagonist and the three woman where in danger. the protagonist nearly dies and the most pressing thing the protagonist needs to do after nearly dying from a threat very much still active is stop his harem and choose a single love interest. Maybe stop thinking about your love life and thing about saving yourself and the women most important to you and THEN make your choice. It made no sense narratively, and you are just asking to be distracted as two of the three woman and NOT going to be happy about it at all.
My position on this and EVERY game is based on 2 things, what the game tells me and what the devs tell me.
Cheeky told us 4 years ago this wasn't going to have a harem so I never played it as such but on the routes I did take there were constant warnings it was not going to end well if I had multiple partners.
The other game you are talking about sounds like Retrieving the Past, another game the dev said wouldn't have a harem and the MC woulod have to choose and another game the dev was ignored and people acted like it was sprung on them.
Same thing happened with BaR despite constant warnings.
I freely admit i'm not a fan of harems, I think they look ridiculous as fuck and make choice based game utterly pointless.
People keep bringing up WVM as doing a harem game well but it isn't much of a game. It's a pick your porn scene simulator. Choices mean nothing and all boil down to "wanna see sum, fuk yes or no". And that's fine for what it is, it is a good fuck fest novel.
Harems are great in fantasy settings.
I missed one out from games I enjoy, I also love Last Sovereign and that does a harem insanely well. The thing there is the MC is an Incubus King that needs all the sex to power up so collecting women like it's Pokemon made sense.
Sisterly Lust and Parental Love both did it great by getting everyone involved and leaving no one out but that could never work here considering half the cast hate each other.
The sad thing is, people see multiple LI's and instantly expect harem despite everything they are told.
The REALLY sad thing is despite being told for 4 years this would never have a harem it still has people complaining yet they must have grasped by now the dev isn't going to pander to them.
For a long time I enjoyed this game, yes I did read the dialogue, but I also realise that devs hide things and include surprises, plot twists and the like into their games. But unfortunately this game has recently lost its appeal because of the particular way in which the dev has made the 'dominos fall'. The game is no longer enjoyable to me, good luck to the dev, I'm out of here.

Commenting on a couple of posts before. WVM is..... an overload. It certainly has a loyal fan base, but god damn its a lot of chicks, and the two you really want seem to be off limits from the dev for "incest" reasons. bleh.
Parental Love. It is the first and only game I deleted all traces of from my computer. Went too far, and I was immensely uncomfortable with it.
Sisterly Lust is one of the GOAT! Love it. Bought it on Steam to support.
I also bought Secret Summer, Picture Perfect, and Come Home *DLC is only thing to pay for on steam at the moment, base game is free. I also bought Time For You. All Incest Harem Games lol.
So is this update worthy or should I wait?
Picture Perfect was so close to being great.
I loved the characters, I loved the build but it could have done with being a few updates longer to let things end naturally. It did feel a bit abrupt at the end.
Secret Summer is doing better.
I don't include Come Home because they never interact with each other so it's less of a harem and more a guy that gets lots of sex.
