Sorry, have to disagree with the statement that it goes both ways. People are bitching because an update hasn't been released to a site so they can play it for free!??!?!? You want to play the update as soon as it is released? Become a patron and downloaded directly from Cheeky's Patreon page.

From what I've seen there is very little bitching, just people awaiting the new update anxiously and people who somehow have a problem with that, which is why I think that don't be a dick does indeed go both ways.
I've seen many threads deteriorating into pages upon pages of people going after or defending the def, when updates were really late, it never happened here, so why not just cut people who get a bit impatient (and still without attacking the dev) at the last mile, a bit of slack?

i do dev to with sdlc but different with most dev in f95
but i do know find and fixing bug is harder than make a function

Have been testing / proofing for most of the last 36 hours. Still want to do a few more run-throughs to check every branch / variable combo.

Eh, it might have really been wrong to be set so definitely on a May update, even though I get why Cheeky wanted it to happen.
You shouldn't underestimate the effect crunching like this can have on your energy, your psyche, what good is it to work yourself like that if you are then burned out for now?

Not saying it will happen to Cheeky, but it definitely happened to devs here and in the long run giving yourself the time you need might be the better decision in some cases.

Because after the update is released, it's the time before the NEXT update is released.
And damn if I don't want the episode out asap, but more importantly I want the game to be finished and the health of the dev-team intact....
