I mean.... I'm calm.... kinda.....
I have no nails on my fingers left, but I'm totally calm....
Going through the last two or three pages, this is what I thought.
If people are so anxiously awaiting the new update, that's only a testament to the quality Cheeky and his team produce.
After such a long wait, I don't think it's surprising that some are a bit on edge and that's not saying anything negative about Cheeky, just that they finally want to play the game.
I've had many other games to play, but since I love this one so much, waiting for months for a new update was/ is hard.
Therefore I can absolutely not understand why some write stuff like "I hope no one shares the update this time.."
The update is really late (and yes I absolutely understand and accept the reasons for it) so you can't say the majority of people here have been whiny bitches about it or have no patience, just because they have a hard time waiting the last final stretch.
The waiting often becomes harder the closer the set date arrives.
Yes, I can wait as long as it takes, no, I don't doubt Cheeky's or Ace's or any of the other current team members dedication, but I still really, really, really want to play the update now.

Think of it this way... Would you rather have it now but buggy, or wait a few more hours and have it bug-free?

Eh, I could live with both.
I sure wouldn't mind playing it again a day later, when a bug free version would arrive.

Sorry, have to disagree with the statement that it goes both ways. People are bitching because an update hasn't been released to a site so they can play it for free!??!?!? You want to play the update as soon as it is released? Become a patron and downloaded directly from Cheeky's Patreon page.
It hasn't been released anywhere. They aren't being about it not being on f95. Personally I'm not that bothered either way but it has been 5 months and several delays so people are just excited is all

From what I've seen there is very little bitching, just people awaiting the new update anxiously and people who somehow have a problem with that, which is why I think that don't be a dick does indeed go both ways.
I've seen many threads deteriorating into pages upon pages of people going after or defending the def, when updates were really late, it never happened here, so why not just cut people who get a bit impatient (and still without attacking the dev) at the last mile, a bit of slack?

Sorry, I'm from a generation where we didn't get participation trophies just for showing up. Complaining about something, one is getting for free just doesn't set well with me.
Just be glad that cheeky and his team did not give up on the game when they had issues going on. Mad respect to them <3

If following popular games in this site for the last couple years has taught me anything, it's that when someone gives a date and time out in advance people just get more and more ravenous until it's day-of.
Next time this happens just cyberpunk it and say "coming when it's ready".

Let me educate you on software releases. When someone gives a release date, it means the absolute latest that it can be and still meet that date.
"This week" means "at midnight 7 days from now".
"This month" means "at midnight on the last day of the month".
Here's the kicker - unless the time zone is specified, it also means the latest time zone. That's

Have been testing / proofing for most of the last 36 hours. Still want to do a few more run-throughs to check every branch / variable combo.
Almost 5am so need some shut-eye. So will need to bear with me for a little longer. I know there's been multiple delays already but hoping you can stick with us for another few hours so we can get it right.
