Depends on the game. Sometimes I trophy hunt on a Steam game, sometimes I don't. One I played half the achievements had to do with avoidable futa/trans content. While that might be some people's kink it ain't mine.
I don't get it, personally. The achievement is the gameplay, and the player's enjoyment of the game. Does anyone really care if I as a player get the "two-time award"? What am I supposed to do with that?
