Episode 25 progress:
There have been some positive developments since my last update, so I'm really happy with how things are going.
Firstly, Cell is back, so I can now take a complete break from art and go back to writing only. Cell is currently working on the Zarah scene, so that's what will feature in this week's teasers. In one of my earlier posts, I mentioned that I wasn't sure if the Zarah scene would be a just a short scene or would also include a sex scene, but I have made the decision to make it a longer scene with sex. The writing for the extended scene is already complete and we hope to have the artwork (including animations) completed this week. Based on the teasers, you might be wondering why Zarah is dressed the way she is, but all will be revealed when you play.
In my last dabble with art for a while, last week I personally added some new images to the Monica scene (So I'll add a few teasers for that too.).
Like all scenes in episode 25, for each scene I need to write at least 4 (sometimes more) different variations depending on your choices. So it can be a little cumbersome, especially knowing that I have to cover all bases, and some bases will only be played by 2% of players

, but I'm in a good flow and most of the variables I need to keep track of are now burned into my brain, so they now come a lot easier and I spend a lot LESS time double-checking notes and excel sheets to keep track of stuff. I'm finally starting to "see" the matrix of the WTHI multiverse.

I thought at this stage, I'd be burned out and bored, writing different versions of the same scenes, but the closer I get to the end, the more I'm enjoying it, and I'm pretty happy with how most scenes are looking (although I will no doubt meddle and tweak a few things once I get to the end). And once my proof-reader and QC team start playing stuff in earnest, that will probably highlight some more areas that need edits.
Overall, I'm a little bit ahead of where I estimated during my last update. I expected to have approx 15K lines review ready, but at this present moment in time, I'm almost at 16K. Based on that I'll also expect to exceed my end of June target. This was initially 17K, but I should now be able to hit 18K review ready and fully playable (and beta tested) by the end of June. (Pretty much the size of episode 23, which was the second largest episode). And this isn't counting a few more scribbles / drafts that I have going on in the background, so overall I'm pretty happy.
I'm going to keep today's dev update pretty short, as my last few updates have been quite lengthy (and I'm on a WTHI writing roll, so I want to get back to it ASAP) , but I WILL post another update later this week (probably Thursday), so I can go into a little more detail, and I'll also talk about some non-WTHI details (i.e. post a few potential new game story ideas from my notebook).
