i used compression quality of 90 and the quality loss is there (well that is the side effect of compression after all) BUT it is very minimal and worth the massive size reduction...atleast in my opinion

I can't believe this isn't an incest game. Don't get me wrong, I hate incest games.. but the title is absolutely PERFECT for one. (Home is) "Where the Heart is" ..it would be such a clever title for one of them.

Yeah, the name is from the expression "Home is where the heart is". Obviously, there is a home theme throughout the story: MC recently moved/thrown out of home, returns back into his old home, etc. And all about where/who exactly he feels "at home" with. Each of the individual episodes are also named after a well-know proverb or expression. ("Love thy neighbour", "Eat, drink and be merry", etc.)

Funny thing, when I first found this game I looked at the preview pics on the first page. Saw Jenna and thought she looked strange but Katie was hot so decided to give it a go. As I actually started playing I realized the preview pic just doesn't do Jenna justice. She's pretty damn hot and one of my favorites. She's got a gorgeous face, body is great as well of course

I forgot to say in my previous post; some of the loss of quality is from the double compression (JPEG then WebP).

WebP will give better results if you have the original lossless files to convert directly to WebP, but I know this is often not the case.

You'll have to experiment, most of WebP's savings come from compressing PNGs, it's still better than JPEG just not as much vs PNG. A lot of people 'abuse' WebP and it's not a miracle worker, so it's all about finding that sweet spot of quality:size.

I'd start with 95-90 and see where you get, definitely wouldn't recommend going lower than 80-85. Make sure to always save your original files and keep a backup.

Yeah. I always save originals (.png), then touch up in PS (if needed), save as .png again. And then convert to .jpg. I will check out the compression you use....

I have absolutely zero interest in Monica or Jenna so this update was super funny (legit, not sarcasm). I load up the save, Jenna tells me about the cameras, I tell her to keep her pants on when she brings up the underwear stuff and I go to the restaurant with Monica. "Oh well, no openings, too bad." Go home, end of version, lol.

Massive update with like 3 scenes and hundreds of renders and it took me all of 3 minutes lol. That said, I would like to thank the all powerful cheeky for letting me skip that stuff. I never thought I'd be happy to get through one of your updates so fast, I had an audible "ugh" moment when I remembered the dinner date was after the Jenna stuff. Being able to skip it was a surprise to be sure, but a welcome one.

Yes. I'm aware that not everybody will like certain characters, so want to give some "get-out" options. It will obviously shorten your gameplay, but at least it won't force you into scenes/options that you wouldn't want to make with your version of the MC. There may be some scenes where I have to force (for story progression), but if possible, I'll continue to give these escape options....

@CheekyGimp: Love your work however there are a few images (noticed now on the 6X update but in previous ones also happened) that your characters are not smiling. In this case Monica before going on a date has an almost resting bitch face and a neutral one when they go to the bar. Shouldn't she smile or be nervous or something?

I love the variety of bodies and faces. Most of the games only use 3D models that look like siliconed pornstars or perfect top-models. Even a bit more belly, waist and saggy tits in mature models would be a good thing. More realism and "MILF-Next-Door" effect

I think the length of the scenes in general is good and fits with the character development. I.E. the scene with Jenna in the last release is very well made and shows precisely what Jenna is and her desires and passions. I don't think limiting it would have achieved that immersion.
As long as the dialogues dont become repetitive and the scenes allow us to go deeper into the relationships, I think they should remain as they have been until now.

I believe that the length of the scenes is good as it has the right balance between immersion and a good pace.
