I am afraid this developer also become scammer like many others who create good game and see in this possibility to suck money. Game was released in 2018 so its already 6 years pass. And when was last good update? Like year ago?And dont think something good gonna in next one

Sorry, but for someone hasn't been following the drama what happened to this game? Is it being slowly redone or something?

first of all i like this game. its got good art and good dialog. the story is kinda eh. but the humor makes up for it. i guess my question is if there isnt any changes made why release it again? just curious.

Decided to randomly check on the progress of this game and saw that it's On Hold. I read the announcement and I can understand Cheeky's issue of essentially making below minimum wage income from the game. We all need money to live after all. The part that I disagreed with is the solution. I think if the main issue is below minimum wage income per hour, then the obvious solution is to spend less hours on the game until the completion of the game. It will slow the update progress, but it'll increase the income per hour rate for better work-life balance.

Once the game is completed, then they could either focus on fixing for Steam (pause payment), or simply start on a new game that could've been developed Steam-ready from the very beginning (keep payment going).

It's quite disappointing to see a game that was among my favorite from the start (can't believe it's already 5 years! how time flies) now having a chance of potentially unfinished. In the end, it's Cheeky's game and he's well within his rights to do whatever he wants with it. I can only hope that things will work out for him (and Cell of course).
From more than a year ago, and it's still relevant. I'm sad.

Played the beta, enjoyed the upgraded renders for the first 3 episodes. Been ages since I played this from the start, so some freshness was still there.

But otherwise, agree that the game should've been shorter. There were still some great scenes through the episodes, but I never really got to really caring about the dad's will subplot and who Dizzy was, and how it affected the whole dynamic, and that took up a lot of time. Still looking forward to Ep25 putting a bow on the game and wrapping it up properly.

And Cheeky is really risking it all doing this full-time now. Burning yourself out doing 2 jobs is no way to live, but having been in the wilds before, it'd take a lot for me to give up the stability of a regular paycheck till my savings are properly beefy. The patreon take is decent, but not easy street money. And not sure how lucrative Steam is for niche adult games yet. Hope it works out for him and the team.

After looking at the Patreon numbers, I can't say that I sympathize too much with any complaints about low wages. 4300$ per month is 3x! what the dev of Thirsty for my Guest earns. And he releases 1000+ render updates every two months with dozens of animations. 4300$ is top 1% earnings for an avn.

Redoing the renders like a maniac can lead to burn out. Best mental health when enjoying the work. Upgrading images is a grind.
