Why give Anna several totally different options in that flashback to then make them absolutely meaningless? The only outcome is revolting for many of us players. It's probably the most absurd thing of the game.
And I know that this has been mentioned a couple of times before, but I remember that the voice said at the very beginning of the story that the collars hide needles with deadly poison. Later John's collar cuts his head off
Btw, Boxed In is a fuckfest with mediocre renders. White Cube has very decent renders and had a much more promising story until the two big fuckups happened. Credit where credit's due.

Presumably Emma becomes the MC now. Stories can change MC or main POV. In games/VNs that aren't multi protagonist or are say sandbox or roguelikes etc it's usually best to do the change or death early like a tutorial character (MGS2) or at the end of the game where it has emotional weight (Red Dead). It is something that can be done and has been many times for better or worse.
I have just taken this screenshot from 0.5b. I doubt this has been changed in 5c.
So Lerd0 let's say in an adult game we the players watch the MC's wife fucking his boss behind the MC's back, without him knowing anything at all. Or when he's in a coma. Or during his funeral. Does that game get the NTR tag? Rhetorical question, you know it would.
